Black Eyed Susan - Gr2

A far better betting race than the Preakness (if you think Faiza isn't a cinch).
Ten will go (Miracle will not run - believe she is being pointed to a NY bred Stakes race at Bel, maybe the Bouwerie).

Although Faiza is undefeated, and a four time GrStks winner, I don't view her as a certain winner. Her figures do not tower over this field by any means.
Cox has two runners that can factor (I prefer Merlazza), Atras ships Balpool in from NY off two big wins, and I even think Taxed has an outside shot at good odds.
She's coming off a pretty good 2nd in the Fantasy behind Oaks dud Wet Paint, where she idled in traffic on the far turn and then came with a good run once clear.

Nice race - thoughts ?

Like to add that Taxed also has two solid works since the Fantasy.
She will figure prominently on my tickets

Not sure I can get around the Baffert horse if I'm being honest.

My only flyer would be on the at something like 7/1?

Don't know at the moment. I need sleep.. . will likely have a better take in the morning.

The horses in Faiza's company lines have been longshots, and ran like it, when they ran in big races this spring outside of California.

Going to play the 4-10 on top here. I think the 4 is developing nicely and runs the stretch with a vengeance.
Hoping the 10 can work a trip and get into the exacta at a really nice price.

Ex: 10 w 1-4-8-9
Big Ex: 4 w 1-8-9-10
Win:10
Big Win: 4

Nice call on the

I couldn't see that horse winning as I had him ranked last

The I was hoping to see have a better trip but unfortunately had to work the entire way after getting shuffled to the back but did make a decent move to finish 4th the others were out of it late which sucks since it would have been a nice with or Exacta which would have paid HUGE!

Onto tomorrow in hopes we can rebound

Another excellent big-race call from you Phantom. You might not have hit the exacta but if you're calling out the right longshots, to me it's on everyone to pair them with who they want. I know I'm often sarcastic here, but I will sincerely say again, whatever you write about a race is definitely worth a read.

Thx Castaway

I just couldn't use that #3 who ran well to get 2nd. It's nice to see Hoosier Philly regain some cred in this division.
Win odds on Taxed were still nice at 11-1
