I didn't consider that angle. I also didn't consider if I was TAP, I'd probably want to boycott that place if there were equal races elsewhere. But, it is a graded stakes with a decent purse, at the right distance, and at a decent time on the calendar. It's otherwise another month to the Jim Dandy.

Someone suggested the Met, which I thought was a great idea. In this day and age, however, the high weight (even Cody’s Wish) will probably be carrying 116 (jokes aside, 123?). Can they give him a tempting weight spread that Ortiz could make?
