You're right, Lightheaded. I have no idea why I thought you were an arrogant ass.

And please please please...start handicapping with Meadow's mindset.

I see you've gotten OVER your bitterness. (Get it...OVER, as in your video).

That's what an investment in a good handicapping book is to me: A chance to listen to the thoughts of an honest and seasoned player who has been through the gambling wars that I too have participated in for far too long...for the price of a meal in a cheap restaurant.

I don't particularly look for "answers" when I read handicapping books. Sometimes the right question lights a little bulb inside my head...and I find a way to the "answer" all by myself. That proves to be a more satisfying experience...IMO.
When we do have dinner, I commence picking YOUR brain before the server even takes our beverage order. And I get the tab.

Just started the Meadow book, btw.

Stick with it...because it's slow going in the beginning. Meadow has a folksy way of writing which might put off the "sophisticated" player. I started reading it...and then put it on the shelf for more than a year.

The 4 and 5 workout he describes is very goof. I use it on every race to this day.
The table of contents is impressive work on your part.

Yesterday, Amazon had 3 hard copies left.
I'm inclined to use the Kindle issue.

So do I have to spend $20. to find out if the analysis includes a incremental odds break down for each, lets say for each chapter, something along the lines of proper statical analysis, or can you tell me?

thanks

i purchased the kindle format. for the price of taking mr meadows out for a lunch, the research he presents is well worth it. if nothing else it gives new thoughts, on how to look at the subjects it covers.

All his research ever says in the book is that EVERY horse racing angle or method has a losing ROI any way you cut it. But that has been known for centuries by everyone who ever existed on this planet. How is that something "new" to you.

Don't worry about Lighthead, acorn54. He just likes to be combative in every thread. He's just another know-it-all here who doesn't know shit but has convinced himself that he is brilliant.

I'm not worried about the money. But it looks like you cannot answer the question. What did you learn from the book that you did not know before?

You're obviously the combative one. First I am a "Lighthead" and then someone who doesn't know shit.

Yet I've never derided you. Just disagreed with your opinion.
