Should all tracks put their programs free online?

I don't know the business angles of this.Is the data compiled at a centralized off-site for profit business?

What I can surmise is that the tracks who will do this will increase their handle, especially now with gas prices possibly prohibiting some from going to the track.

Currently, only Scioto Downs and the Meadowlands do this.

What factor am I missing here?

Meadows as well. I will no longer bet cards that do not give free programs even though I get them free.

The original post did not mention harness only. I thought it meant all tracks as in thoroughbred and standardbred.

Well, this is the "Harness Racing" section...so I only naturally assumed he was talking harness only.

Meadowlands thebigm.com

Pocono and Harrahs PHIL. phha.org

Meadows https://meadowsharnessracing.com/meadows-race-program/

Scioto https://www.sciotodowns.com/racing/race-programs

I believe all handles improve when free programs are offered. My guess is the tracks pay a license fee to trackmaster who seems to own the rights to the programs.

At least we know these tracks are serious about harness racing and not just staying open to get a casino license. That is why I support with my betting dollars.
