Vic--I know you will make the right decision about the future-Me being selfish I would love to see you still call races-I miss your calls and banter and have not watched, listened to or bet 1 race at Oaklawn since your departure--I have been wagering for over 60 years and I really enjoy the game-however many old-timers(like myself) will tell you it's not the same game anymore--Its on a downward spiral and making moves like what Oaklawn did to you will keep it in that direction-Good luck Pal

What is there solution?
Hawthorne gave away takeout money on win, place and show down to 12% plus breakage.

They must not be working at Vic's former employer since the takeout rates there are sky high.

Getting fired, then filling in for the interim guy that is filling in for you until a replacement is hired is peak horse racing. And at a track most people can't even bet, no less.

How stupid does Oaklawn appear at this moment?

Good for you, Vic. Glad to hear, wish I could play Lone Star. It's nothing against Jim Byers. You know damn well if announcing was a league, there is no way Oaklawn would have made this trade.
