Usually because the horse had a bad "last out"
Combine that with a bad jockey and/or trainer and you can get very good prices.

I am up to 100 races. Not enough to get a picture yet. I run the numbers every time I add 10 races or so. They are still jumping around quite a bit.

On the health side, I need two operations. On April 8, they'll reposition the prostrate. At some latter date, they will put a pacemaker on the bladder. The good news is that there is no sign yet of a return of the bladder cancer. It will checked for again around Father's day. The Crohns is acting up a bit probably do to the stress from this bladder stuff.

Playing Around With Prime Power Numbers

FWIW see below a graphic of BRIS PPR Variances From the Field Average from my iPad screen for today's 10th at GP. The measurement isn't always relevant and may not be the most scientific, but it gives me quick snapshot of the PPR variability of the entries and where to look for value, such as Heart Stealer and Five Star Momma if their odds hold up vs. their morning lines.

Be well and take care.

Robert, you are in my prayers, too.

Over the years, more than once I've seen you step into a thread and offer a moment of reason and clarity, guiding it back on course. And, I've learned a lot from your posts.

The pacemaker of which you speak has been available for about 15 years (it was developed and tested both here and in the U.K. For most patients, it has been a useful and successful device with minimal side effects in about 75% of patients. Implantation only takes about 90 minutes.

As for your Prime Power Study, the most successful and consistent races to use are, according to Bris, dirt sprint claimers.

Be well and take care.

It seems that some use a product that involves Prime Power Numbers. I do not know of this approach. But, would like to know of the results of using it. Such as: hit ratio and average $2 win mutual.

Amen. Real life is more important than playing this game or participating in this message board.

Robert, I join all the well wishers and hope you play this game as hard as you can. This game is a great distraction from health issues and keep fighting the way you have been. As long as I have known you here, you have contributed to readers unconditionally and respecting views of others. Always wishing best.
