There is no "level playing field". Some of the "players" are clearly..."too big to fail".

The man was tarred and feathered before all the facts came in. Justice has prevailed.

WELL STATED!! And I agree 100%
It's all been about greed, mismanagement and incompetence without ANY consideration for those who actually support the entire Stateside game.

This ruling is an absolute disgrace and a slap in the face of every hard working, honest backside worker, small owner or trainer.
I hope the Jockey Club investigation that is still ongoing nails these high profile cheaters.
If this continues the gamblers will lose confidence in the legitimacy of the sport and this sport will be extinct. There is no Babe Ruth in the weeds waiting to save this sport as baseball was saved after the 1919 Black Sox Scandal.
Why does not one person in the gutless media every ask Baffert a tough question?

What "media" are you talking about? The mainstream media has abandoned any regular reporting on horse racing, except for the occasional scathing article...and the local newspapers no longer carry even the race results. And the racing-connected media is too closely aligned with the financial well-being of the sport. How do you bite the hand that feeds you?

The people who cover the races on TV, the ever growing number of Podcasts about the sport, the writers who write articles for horse racing magazines. Hell, any investigative reporter in a racing town where he ships in and steals the purse like a thief in the night.

Put them all one on top of the other...and they wouldn't amount to HALF an Andy Beyer. When Beyer left...so did the integrity of the game's "journalism".
