you already are in the top sector with Tesla. that company may wind up bigger than Amazon some day. i messed it. i bought into MP when it was a special purpose acquisition company (FVAC). i got it under 12 and rode it up and sold enough to get my money out of it and pay the short term capital gains tax, and just ride the rest. CALM has not been like taking a slow boat to china. i am thinking that protein is the way to go now with a big push against carbs due to the problems that overeating them does to a human body. the downside of this would be a major decrease in population. this is one of the reasons why i have been charting and following the corona numbers. i don't see a major loss in population due to the corona. i am thinking there are going to be more eggs eaten and prices to go way up.. i just bought an 18 pack of eggs today for $1.39 in a supermarket. at times when eggs are in short supply that same package can fetch $2,89. i am thinking at some point .25 per egg would be no big deal. throw in some inflation and some higher demand and this stock could double in a year with very little downside risk. in our country the birth rate is 1.74 births per woman. we are losing population due to that number.. the reason for the decline is that most women had to leave the house to work and had to leave their kids in daycare. with the virus there are more women that stay home to work and they can watch over their kids at home. i am thinking the government will come up with some type of incentive for women to have more kids, with that and the stay at home mother, that should add to the demand for eggs. with a woman staying at home they also have the time to cook eggs as well. everything looks like demand for eggs is going to pick up.

as far as the mining stocks, for the past 20 years they have been going up and down constantly without sustaining a solid trend. most of them have plenty of hurdles to jump still, like environmental and political risks. when the profit margins go up, many countries are going to tax the gold coming out of their ground at higher rates. it won't happen to bad in North America and Australia. Canada and Aus. are very mining friendly places. most parts of Africa, Asia, and South America are not. Mexico, if yo can trust them, are promising no new taxes for about the next decade. on the mining stocks i am trying to only play the ones that Fidelity or Wellington are in already.. they have always been great at this sector.

uptick rules

https://www.investmentnews.com/sec-l...ick-rule-20644

i haven't been able to find anything filed on behalf of bringing back the uptick rule.

i was wondering about this because the small cap stocks have been over- performing the general market lately and a change in the law would benefit the small caps the most.

Bitcoin & Litecoin

Both Bitcoin & Litecoin are showing me the same indicators to SELL now, using the same criteria I used to call the Market a SCREAMING BUY back on April 10, 2020. That was 5000+ points ago on the Nasdaq and 8000+ points on the Dow.

I have roughly six sell signals on Bitcoin over the last two weeks. The 8 day EMA has slightly crossed the 20 day MA, which is another short term negative signal.
Ethereum also looks very close to a strong sell, but not yet. Tread lightly if you are in these.

Chart for $BTCUSD that I use.

a regular gas run car has about 60 pounds of copper in it, a TESLA has 180 poundshttps://midasletter.com/2020/01/copper-how-teslas-biggest-ingredient-could-make-you-rich-in-2020/#:~:text=Whereas%20most%20of%20the%20ingredients,4 5%2C000%20tons%20just%20for%20Tesla.

the other big metal to keep in mind is nickel. BLSTF, Blackstone Minerals is an interesting nickel play. it is a Brent Cook pick who is a geologist with a semi decent track record. the stock price looks like its a bit ahead of itself right not, .31 would be a better entry point probably because there are many that tail this guy.

Good point about EV's using a lot of copper. And Electric buses will supposedly use 800 lbs. of the stuff. Semi's probably a thousand. And it obviously applies to the whole EV market.

U.S. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY FUNDS AMERICAN MANGANESE INC. TO ADVANCE MANGANESE STOCKPILE
U.S. Senator and Congressman comment: Project is a “positive step” towards “durable source of supply”

October 21, 2020 - Surrey, B.C. Canada

TSX-V: AMY | OTC US: AMYZF | FSE: 2AM

American Manganese Inc. (“AMY” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the United States Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has awarded the Company a grant to perform work on the United States Government’s manganese ore stockpile located near Wenden, Arizona, with the goal of producing electrolytic manganese metal (EMM) for the nation. The DLA manages combat logistics across all U.S. Armed Services and oversees the U.S. National Defense Stockpile (NDS).

AMY has been awarded a grant to conduct tests of the Wenden stockpile to confirm the viability of using the Company’s patented hydrometallurgical process to recover EMM from the stockpile. If successful, the DLA, together with AMY, will proceed to transform sub-economic manganese resources into a valuable source of EMM, an outcome in line with the DLA’s acquisition plan for EMM as well as President Trump’s Executive Order 13953 (September 30, 2020), “Addressing the Threat to the Domestic Supply Chain From Reliance on Critical Minerals From Foreign Adversaries and Supporting the Domestic Mining and Processing Industries.” This project has garnered strong support from members of the Senate and Congress:

“The United States should never be reliant on an adversary like China for minerals critical to our national defense,” Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) said. “I have been working to bring America's crucial supply chain home from China and today’s announcement is a positive step toward that goal. This grant is great news for both Arizona and our national security."
"As a Member of Congress, it is seldom that I see such a clearly amazing opportunity,” said Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ). “The successful execution of this project could transform an unwanted stockpile of low-grade material, long ago paid for by the U.S. taxpayer, into a NDS stockpile material (EMM). The U.S. simply cannot remain dependent on Chinese supply chains — particularly when electrolytic manganese metal is a designated strategic defense mineral. The proposed project is a strong first step towards advancing a durable American source of supply."
Under AMY’s proposed program for the Wenden stockpile, selected sample materials would be tested through a laboratory bench-scale testing campaign to provide proof of concept of a future modular pilot-scale testing facility. The Company expects to commence the work soon once details have been finalized with the DLA. The total program is anticipated to take about 47 weeks.

The DLA grant constitutes AMY’s second project to gain support from the U.S. government. The Company, due to its development and ownership of the RecycLiCoTM technology, is also part of a team – which includes the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Idaho National Laboratory and Purdue University – formed by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Critical Materials Institute to research and advance recycling of electric vehicle battery materials.

The manganese market is greater than 41 billion pounds per year and is the fourth most-traded metal, but the U.S. is 100% import-dependent on manganese. There is no substitute for manganese in the production of steel and as BHP Billiton’s former CEO Brian Gilbertson has said, “You cannot make steel without manganese. And if you cannot make steel – the world stops.”

“We are very excited that AMY has been chosen to work on the Wenden manganese stockpile,” said Larry Reaugh. “We look forward to demonstrating that our patented process can deliver a material that is designated as strategic by the Pentagon, and is one of the materials covered by President Trump’s new Executive Order declaring a ‘national emergency’ regarding critical mineral development.”

Following the increased focus on manganese, the Company announced a review of its manganese assets and patents in the September 17, 2020 news release

About American Manganese Inc.

American Manganese Inc. aims to commercialize its breakthrough RecycLiCo™ patented process and become an industry leader in recycling cathode materials from spent lithium-ion batteries.

Would love to wake up and see MP gap up. They don't report until mid-Feb I believe. That would give it some time to run a little.

Game Stop GME

this company has flown up from $47 to $89 in a week and to me the company deserves to be under $10. this company has a 141% short interest, and its now a battle of institutional and hedge fund traders going up against the Robin Hood gang. so far the Robin Hooders got em good. defined risk premiums on this thing are in the stratosphere as well.

My kid was telling me about this a couple days ago. It sounded like there's a conglomerate (for lack of better word) of game players that saw the short interest, and ganged up and bought, bought, bought. They looked at the shorters as personal enemies.
