Excessive force
Racist, or not, this cop lost it, and is in a lot of trouble.

Great. Tell him he's a disgrace to the human race also. Slinging around a teenage girl in a bikini? Coward. She can't hide a weapon in a bikini, he was out of control. A disgrace.
----------
on to the situation that was....As for what happened.... I know people that live in that neighborhood, described the situation...
Imagine this>
-you have a pool in your backyard
-uninvited kids (pick a color. any color) jump your fence to get in your back yard
-they bring in a dj, loud annoying music blares. You & your neighbors are annoyed, want it to stop, and YOU wonder why these kids are even in your backyard to begin with. (YOU being the property owner)
-you ask the kids to leave your property. You're met with shreiking whines about how they have the right to be wherever they want to be
-you ask them to leave again. You're further met with hostile attitudes.
-you call the cops.
How you can blame the homeowners for anything here is beyond me.

I don't disagree. But how do you know he is a racist? He might have over-reacted, but that doesn't make him a racist?
Btw, you can hide a gun in a bikini, and other places. That wouldn't be my reasoning for what he did, but it doesn't make him a racist. Maybe stupid, but not racist.

The sad reality is there is a lot of racism, so whenever you have a white cop and a black victim, racism will be called out whether it was the reason for the action or no. In this case who knows. It is really irrelevant to this case. Bottom line, cop completely overreacted. The girl was walking away with the group of girls she was with (perhaps running her mouth) and cop chases her down, grabs her, tackles her, sits on her for a few minutes all because he lost his cool. Good riddance. If he can't handle his cool in that situation, probably not the best job for him.
I learned at a young age, that when a cop tells you to do something, you do it. They give you a lecture or a citation or a warning and both of you do on with your day. You don't question, run, run your mouth.....if the officer says sit on the grass, you sit on the grass. They remain calm, you remain calm and nothing bad happens(in the 7 minute video you can here him telling the kids, I told you to do something and you joined the mob and disobeyed-so now you are paying the price). At 19 I was with a friend and the police did what they do(harrass us for no reason), and he kept running his mouth and running his mouth(despite me telling him to shut up), I just sat there quietly. He ends up in jail and I am bailing him out. Doesn't justify the actions of bad police officers, but, if people would behave accordingly 90% of these really bad situations would not happen (it is the other 10% that is highly concerning). One can argue that it should not be that way(and in a perfect world it would not be that way), but in the real world he has the badge and the gun, so a little cooperation is not such a bad idea.
There is a lot of needless police action these days as there always have been, and the only reason we keep seeing it is because everybody has cellphone cameras and is video taping all these incidents. This crap always went on, it is just we see a different version of it every few weeks on the news now. If cops cannot control their emotions when they know that every incident gets videotaped now, I think it is time that people start realizing that you have 2 choices, comply with the officer's wishes(within reason) or expect something really bad to happen.

I never stated he was a racist. I stated he was a disgrace to the human race.
And anyone who'd think that girl had a gun on her is a paranoid individual that doesn't belong on a police force....that's not hard to comprehend, really.
McKinney hs coach of 20 yes ago (Ron poe) kicked the town cops outta the gym for this very thing...harassing kids of color (Sammy white). McKinney cops were a big problem in the 90s when I worked up there, looks like they still have a dumbass or two around.....bikini clad girls posing a threat to a cop.....lmao

He sure is. He deserves to be fired. Maybe worse.
But why bring race into it?
Some big shot from the NAACP was on CNN and said ANY interaction between a Black and White is grounds for racism charges.
NAACP,drawn to this like flies to......

I think if he had not been dressed in blue, there would be a ton of speculation that he was on "something". He certain did not act like any cop I have seen doing their job. Even if he is a bigot, that does not explain his actions. It reminded me of a person I know with a bipolar problem when he is off his Meds. Clearly something was right with him that night. Too bad, he probably was at least a decent policeman until that night. Whatever his problem, I hope he gets help he needs in dealing with it.

This incident occurred at a private pool operated by a homeowners association and limited to the use of residents and their guests.
Many in the mainstream media are now claiming that private pools are racist. Private pools, they claim, were the result of desegregation of public pools. Since most of the residents of this particular community are white, this private, gated pool is a de facto reintroduction of segregation and, in the words of the Washington Post, such pools "perpetuate racial tension."
And the worst instance of segregation and racism is, of course, a private fenced-in pool in a back yard, limited to the use of the owner, family, and guests.

BTW, HANK saw fit to put the RACIST tag in the thread title prior to the word "cop," but left out RACIST prior to the word "tiny"...
How do you know the kid's not a racist? For that matter, how do you know the cop is a racist?
