Republicans are in denial. Trump's people lie about Russia repeatedly. An MI-6 document says that he was compromised and every other word from "crowd size" to the size of his victory is an exaggeration or a lie. In light of this and other acts of incompetence, I am upgrading his odds of impeachment to 60%. Not now though. Republicans will continue their shameful defense of Trump until the midterms, when they will lose significant amounts in the House and Senate. Then and only then will he be impeached. Republicans continue to put party above country even when a crazy man they elected is robbing them blind. Trump has energized democrats in a way that Obama, Hillary or Big Bill never could.

That 80% is based on what? A special prosecutor can indict, but it has always been the practice, without being tested all the way to SCOTUS, that a sitting president cannot be indicted while in office. Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution says:

The "Party convicted" means a president that was impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate is liable once out of office.
Only the House can initiate the impeachment process. A special prosecutor has no power in that area.
So what indictable offense is Trump guilty of, assuming a special prosecutor is going to pursue the matter after he is out of office?

The deck is stacked, who runs the DOJ? The DOJ knows exactly where the special prosecutor is going and how he will get there. That road is paved with felony's by democrats, you think the President is trapped when in reality his handlers have kept him quite safe above the fray. This will not end well for anyone inside the DNC machine.
