Right now, Paynter looks like the main threat. I'm just wondering if everyone is going to jump on his bandwagon.

Looking at PPs, y'all are seeing something in Paynter that I'm sure missing. I don't get the love, other than the Baffert connection and pedigree...which weren't enough for this horse to get the job done before.

The experience of two more races since then. This horse reeks as the wiseguy pick.

Despite this article saying that Mark Valeski will be a Belmont starter, Bloodhorse has another article (posted the same day) saying his current energy level stinks and he won't be going.

I guess I don't know what I'm watching but Paynter's race on Preakness day was not that impressive to me. He beat a bunch of so call low quality allowance horses that no one ever heard of.
My predication is he either will not run or if he does you won't find him in the same zip code as the top three at the finish that being I'll Have Another, Union Rags, and Dullahan.
Good luck to all the suckers that will be throwing their money into the pool for us, betting a horse that should be 50/1 in the Belmont.

He was within 4 lengths of IHA in the SA Derby and has developed considerably since then. This is not a horse that can be lightly dismissed because he had nothing behind him in a workout under silks.

Sarava and Da Tara both came out of Preakness undercard races...maybe some folks are just working that angle with Paynter.
He ran slow early but really finished up strongly, but it was only an Alw race.

With all due respect, David, Paynter will be 5-1 on merit. He'll spend either the vast majority of the race or the entire race ahead of both Dullahan and Union Rags.

Could be his dam is a full sister to Tiznow and Budroyale.

I have liked Union Rags, but the last 3 races have looked like he has a passenger rather than a driver
