2nd conservative-leaning network to go dark on ATT/Direct TV

Have had ATT for my phone for many years and have had Direct TV streaming for a couple years. Thinking about dumping them for stuff like this. But where do you go?

These networks are only shooting themselves in the foot for whatever reason.

NOBODY watches liberal networks...not even liberals

Good luck with that move. I'm sure their bottom line will be enhanced greatly.

I had Direct TV because of NFL Sunday Ticket but I canceled on Jan 9 (last day of season) and switched back to Dish Network. One thing that pissed me off about Direct TV is that they had TVG in a regular package, then a few years ago they removed it and added to a sports package, which was extra.

Dish has TVG included in my package and they guaranteed the rate for 3 years, plus after the first month I'm going to get a $500 cash back credit card! And DISH has a much better DVR and much better customer service than Direct TV.

I tried streaming YouTube TV for the free period in December and it's okay but I didn't like the picture quality. We have a 77 inch OLED LG in our movie room and I can't justify having the best TV with a subpar picture quality. Although I'm sure many people will be fine with YouTube TV streaming.

Another reason why I went back to Dish, though, is the 3 year locked in price, because all of the streaming apps have already increased prices and will probably continue to do that, just the way cable and satellite does.

I dropped AT&T several years ago for Consumer Cellular...about half the cost of AT&T and comparable service.

Get Newsmax TV for free using Amazon Fire Stick and/or other streaming devices, e.g. Roku.

Not everything requires a paid cable connection. There are lots of free-viewing apps out there.

Exactly, streaming is better. Taxes for people in $400 shoes, local channels in HD free, tired content on 95% of all cable channels no more. Faster Internet with faster Modems we own and wired cat 5 connections to as many TV's we own.

I believe AT&T sold CNN and their other media properties to Discovery in May 2021.

So content that we each prefer is better than Fox I think. The more you stream the more that one has to watch his or her bandwidth. Not a problem for me, but in some states data caps can be problematic. Learning to have good advantages in streaming is something to learn going forward.
