Looks like Parx has other problems than just the announcer. How does this stuff continually happen at some of these places?

The jockey on the seems to be barely moving his hands.

Jessica keeps using the phrase "takes command" multiple times in a lot of races when no such thing is happening. A horse who is being ridden hard on the lead is not taking command.

Must already have enough money, I guess.

That jockey rides like that every race. He sucks. Makes Drayden Van Dyke look like Irad Ortiz.

Jess today

As fully expected, Jess just keeps getting better

As Peter Berry mentioned on Twitter just now, check out her perfect 3rd race call followed by a very solid job in the 4th just now

You all are just jealous or something

She is improving, but that 3rd race call was far from perfect. She said " here come the closers" when the horses that were moving up when she said that would be considered stalkers. The closers did not run a lick in that race.

In all honesty, Race 3 would be considered a below average effort by most, and is barely the minimum standard required for a mid-tier announcer. Jessica reaching that for one race shouldn't be celebrated.

Unfortunately at the moment Race 7 is more a reflection of the product than anything else.

reminded me a lot of the Jones lady at Gulfstream who could NEVER get though one explanation without saying"________ is ATTENDING the pace,..."

I asked Robert Geller (Woodbine's caller)about "pet phrases" and he said every caller has a few but it was wise to NOT repeat them too often as they get stale.

What a bunch of Yentas....Nothing else to talk about but Jessica?

Jessica, you did a great job at Colonial the last two seasons reporting from the paddock. I personally don't watch Parx as the racing at Parx is the "inmates running the asylum" and the racing is , well, . Anyways, glad you got a shot to announce and I would love to see you back at Colonial as toy are a breath of fresh air.

I was a groom in my teens so I figure this qualifies me to be the Racing Secretary at Parx. I sent over my application.

No kidding, how does paddock announcing equate to race calling? That is going from a 2 to a 10 on the degree of difficulty scale.

Everyone on twitter giving her kudos was laughable.

Honestly it was listening to a young female Grunder

Felt like she was calling horses from another track..

Awful got a migraine trying to listen to her but what do you expect from a bush track like Parks
