As you probably already know, people tend to give up on one program and move on to another, trying to find the magic box of handicapping. NCG's programs seem to be the program du jour, and I don't mean that as a slight in any way. FWIW, I think they're pretty good. But when Pace View came out there was much less interest in Handifast. Plus, Handi hasn't done any updates in a while. I hope he and his family are doing ok.
Nice to see that you have stuck with Handifast. Every once in a while I get an email from a couple of users that ask some questions about Handifast and programming and that makes me think of working on HHXv3 again. Not likely to happen as I don't have much free time anymore. Never say never, though.

Hey HH..
good to hear from you.....
I will email Handi and check things with him and post here...
I too wish you had the time to work on it
Actually I use your OLD HHX to get a csv file to work in Excel and derive my numbers for the factors in the new Handi...so dont think yours and handi's have gone by the wayside..

This is a bug in the programming language that allocates 1 GB of contiguous memory address space. It's kind of a no-no under many circumstances but I digress. I am not entirely sure why the problem doesn't happen to everybody but the only complete fix that I know of is for Handi to recompile the source code using an earlier version of the language. I get the error as well and I am not sure what the workaround is. Clearly mikesal gets it to work so maybe his suggestion about installing in layers might do the trick.
