My next door neighbor, in the 60s, rear-ended a car on his bike - flew over the care and hit the rear windshield of the car in front of the one he hit. Messed up for years after that.

I just started riding again. My back finally improved just enough. I think you make a pretty good suggestion.

I got "hit" by a volkswagon (of ALL vehicles) at the age of 16 on a motorcycle....got very lucky....just bruises.....quit riding after that.....then again...I've almost died 8 times now....so...........not pressing the issue anymore....well....except...I do go maskless EVERYWHERE....fate will decide...

Best and worst memories of riding when I was a kid.

Best: Riding on a hot summer night with a belly full of beer.

Worst: Not being able to scratch an itch on my leg as I was in traction.

I still ride. BMW K1200 GT. Love it.
