I respect the hell out of Sid. Two Cups. Two Gold Medals. Before the age of 30. He's been the best player in the league for a long time. HOWEVER I would have voted Matt Murray for Conn Smythe. Sid didn't score a goal against the Sharks. Murray might have been the Conn Smythe favorite before the last series began. Seeing as how Sid didn't score a goal I'm not sure how he passed Murray in voting. Reputation? Ok, that's fine he is a great player. Just think Murray was short changed.

I'm very glad for Phil Kessel. Talented player in a perfect spot. It seems when that third line got it together the Pens really took off. I understand why the Leafs moved him. Kind of wish they didn't let the entire world know he was being moved I think they got less in the trade because of it. But the trade was win-win. That being said I look forward to future. Strange thing for a LEAF fan to say. Hello Auston Powers Matthews.

Calgary Flames have hired Glen Gulutzan as Head Coach.

They let go Bob Hartley who was a good man, but the talent pool wasn't deep enough on that team.

So the new Las Vegas arena is right on the Strip, between the Monte Carlo and New York, New York? One can only imagine the horrific traffic jams on game night.

Lots of conventions in Vegas attract 20,000 people many weeks of the year.
Vegas is Vegas.
Traffic jams won't be that much of a problem.

I've heard the suburbanites don't like going to the strip.

“Auston Matthews reminds me of a faster version of Ron Francis,” Sexton told me. “Ron was a Hall of Famer who played at a high level for a full 200 feet. As does Auston.”

Crazy day in the NHL. Stamkos stays put really screwing over a few teams who waited to court him. Hi Ken Holland. Subban for Weber? Why would Montreal want a 30 year old guy who is sloooow and has TEN years remaining on his deal? It seems the Devils robbed the Oilers in the Taylor Hall trade. This day is bigger than Friday NHL signing day in the NHL. Crazy.

Malkin rumors as you know are out there. With the play of Martin and Fleury's big salary you know they wanna trade him. I would think Malkin would be easier to move. Stay tuned pretty exciting off season so far.

Metro Division is going to be tough this year. Expect 5 teams in playoffs again with Rangers odd man out.

Many Edmonton fans are furious. Hall was outstanding.
Montreal fans are even worse.
They're close to having a nuclear explosion over losing Subban.
