Joey should just have his little party on a zoom call, like most everyone else has had to do for the last 10 months.

We all know Biden is not long for the current scene due either to his own naturally occurring mental and physical decline, or by other means.
Almost nothing can be dismissed as outright impossible or too crazy in the current climate.

I don't know why, but when I read this post, I couldn't help but think of the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars, with Palpatine and Order 66 and the fall of the Jedi. It just popped into my head.

Isn't Trump the President? Wouldn't he be the one who approved this, or has he just checked out? Biden's not Prez until Wednesday after the oath. This isn't under Biden's watch. This is under Trumps.

When Sen. Tom Cotton wrote a New York Times op-ed piece calling for the National Guard be sent to places like Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis to protect the citizens against violent, Marxist extremists such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa, the left went crazy and a editor of the Times was forced to resign.
Now we're told that Washington DC is under siege by right wing Q-Anon types and guess what? There are 25,000 troops on call.
Our cowardly and stupid politicians are all in calling for the National Guard this time but they provided no accommodations for them. Most must sleep on the floor of the Capitol buildings and elsewhere.

Pretty amazing the hypocrisy that is allowed to slide by on an hourly basis...
When will the majority wake the **** up? Never...that's why country is dead.

You tell me. National Guard isn't something POTUS can just dispatch at will unless he invokes the insurrection act, which he hasn't as far as I know.
States must request. Since DC isn't a state, the mayor makes that request I suppose? Not entirely sure.
And shouldn't you know all this already? You're the smart guy in the room, right?

The D.C National Guard was formed in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson to defend the newly created District of Columbia. As such, the Commanding General of the D.C. National Guard is subordinate solely to the President of the United States. This authority to activate the D.C. National Guard has been delegated, by the President, to the Secretary of Defense and further delegated to the Secretary of the Army. The D.C. National Guard is the only National Guard unit, out of all of the 54 states and territories, which reports only to the President.

There is no rationale for what is going on in DC at the moment. None.
It's setting a tone you don't want set. Not at all. Not ever.
Another reason why this country is absolutely, 100% DEAD AND BURIED.

It actually started on 9/11/2001. The Patriot Act and the slow but steady eroding of our rights. Trump stemmed the tide for a time but it's accelerating now. Honestly you can't change the directional arrow without an insurrection/war. Does anyone honestly believe anyone in DC can stop the train? The answer is NO.

Well then, where did the 22,000 other troops come from?
