At 9o yrs old I am fined that I am having trouble reading the racing forum. It is cause by macular degeneration. I don't like handicapping from the computer because I can/t write my notes on it. I know other people are having the same problem because I see magnfying glasses being used at track/ I am wondering about how many on this list are having the dame problem?

I don't know what Browser you are using, but I think that you might be able to make the print larger that way. I know that I can make my print larger using by hitting cntrl and + together (larger), cntrl and - together (left, next to "t" for smaller) on my keyboard.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried a pair of magnifying eye-glasses?
I have a pair that are 4X power and make smaller print than DRF lok huge.
I also have a a pair that are bi-focal, so, so I don't walk into a wall!

This place has them up to 7.0X power in many, many styles, shapes, colors....

I have several pairs at varying strengths, for normal reading, very small print, using the computer (weaker) and what not.

Good Luck!

Not being able to read the form would be a real life changer for me, and I'm quite a bit younger than the OP, but noticing the eyesight is starting to deteriorate. Share what ever it is you do to make your situation better. There are literally hundreds of us out here that will be dealing with the same challenges sooner than later.

Good Luck.

My personal favorite - I wear these to the track and people tend to leave me alone.

They do not leave you alone because of the glasses, Tom.

Talking

My eyesight is still OK but I have the same problem as the poster, not being able to write notes on the online PPs. Anyone have a remedy which does not include printing hard copy PPs. Thanks

Is this something different than the FireFox pdf viewer? If so, where do I get it?

I know there's also software and apps that will read the text to you if you prefer to follow that route. I have a friend who's completely blind and he uses these things all the time.
