Looks like a Canadian made it to the Final Table on Sunday! Congrats to him the champ and the rest of the NHC players on a great weekend!

10) Steve Nemetz, $281.50, Vancouver, BC, 11th NHC Appearance

i have been a avid horseplayer for 35 years and a professional for the past 12 years. it was a truly unbelievable experience. really first class all the way. had the wow factor of 10. Hadnt been in the NHC in a few years and kinda forgot how great the big live tournaments are. I would highly recommend for all serious horseplayers, that if possible get there next year. my regret was that wish i had another $1.1 in points on Saturday.

One of my best friends was there for his 3rd year straight.

We fell short less than $10 to get to Sunday. It is a grind. His rich ass will likely qualify again, and I'm definitely going next year.

I had a rough first day and had a decent shot to make the cut on Saturday but came up short with a lot of second place finishes. Made a couple big and costly mistakes but so do most people during the tournament. Good experience overall.

2013 was my first NHC and 2023 my second. Very well run tournament and the NHC and hotel staff do a very good job in my opinion. Hopefully, I will qualify again for 2024. It is a grind though and no one has won it twice.
