First time geldings at BHP

I just happened to come across this information. I hate it that it isn't readily available, like in the PPs.

Both are in the 5th at BHP today, Admission and Northern Iowa.

So much for that angle, both ran out.

I didn't consider either to be contenders after knowing that, I just want to know it. It has made a difference in the past.

There's no reason this info should NOT be in the PPs. Almost all tracks announce it as a program change, and then next time the horse runs he'll be listed as a gelding in the PPs versus a colt, horse or ridgling. This means, obviously, the database field for the horse's sex is updated. Why not add a comment? For the players, it would be nice to mark the start when a horse was gelded, as it often does mark a form reversal.

Another blatant example of how the industry puts the player at the bottom...

Apparently the PP providers regard "blinkers off" as significant information, but "bollocks off" is of no consequence.

You would be surprised if you hadnt thought of it. Also, while not being actually surprised, it may gross someone out to know the gory details.

Thursday, Nov. 22 Race 7 #1 Distort This is a FTG. Was entered on Nov. 15 Race 8 for C8,000 as a FTG, was an early scratch. Re-entered but program just shows him as a gelding. No mention of FTG on overnight or program.

Scratched again today. That's a little disturbing that he is a FTG and isn't being reported as such.
