I am manufacturing a fear? What on earth are you talking about?

All I said was "America First Baby!"

Perhaps you have me confused with someone else.

Oh, and BTW, the post I left my "America First Baby!" comment on was based on a story about Zeke Emmanuel's comments he made back in, I believe September of 2020...WAY BEFORE anything was really known publicly about Pfizer's vaccine.

So you just wasted a whole bunch of time trying to play "gotcha."

I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so.

If 43% of children and 5% of adults have antibodies, that lowers the Herd Immunity Threshold. This may also explain why some countries and sections of the world have been hit harder than others. The Far East for example may have a lot more people that have been infected with other coronaviruses than Europe or the US via SARS etc..

The Children Never Had the Coronavirus. So Why Did They Have Antibodies?

A provocative study suggests that certain colds may leave antibodies against the new coronavirus, perhaps explaining why children are more protected than adults.

It’s been a big puzzle of the pandemic: Why are children so much less likely than adults to become infected with the new coronavirus and, if infected, less likely to become ill?

A possible reason may be that many children already have antibodies to other coronaviruses, according to researchers at the Francis Crick Institute in London. About one in five of the colds that plague children are caused by viruses in this family. Antibodies to those viruses may also block SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus causing the pandemic.

In a study published Friday in Science, the group, led by George Kassiotis, who heads the Retroviral Immunology Laboratory at the institute, reports that on average only 5 percent of adults had these antibodies, but 43 percent of children did.

Researchers who did not participate in the study were intrigued by the finding. H. Benjamin Larman, an immunologist at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, called it a “well-done study that puts forward a compelling theory which is supported by their data.”

Interesting, but not herd immunity.

Of course not yet.

It means that the percentage infected + the percentage of children with antibodies + the percentage of adults with antibodies tells you how close you are to herd immunity. That's what I've been saying all along.

So if the previous estimate was that 60%-80% of the people have to be infected to reach herd immunity, we are closer to that than people think in some areas.

In New York State for example, it's estimated that 20% of the people have been infected. In NYC it's 30%-35%. Add children and adults with antibodies to 35% and all of sudden you are getting pretty close to the magic number. That's why it slowed down so much in NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.

Rand Paul was right. Fauci is a political hack.

REALITY.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...s-record-texas

The US has recorded more than 1m new coronavirus cases in just the past 10 days as the national total soared past 10m cases amid a widespread surge – while Texas on Wednesday became the first to record a million cases as a state.

The soaring figures came as the US also recorded its highest single-day total of new cases, and experts warned that even though successful vaccines are coming into view the White House appears to be doing little to contain a pandemic increasingly out of control.

“In the last couple of months you have seen the federal government basically throw in the towel,” Ashish Jha, dean of the Brown University School of Public Health told NBC on Wednesday morning.

He added: “There’s been no new guidance, very little effort coming from the federal government and I think that is definitely contributing to a nationwide surge.”

Perhaps using a Canadian news source would be more gratifying for you. The fact still remains less people are dying from this, testing goes up it is natural to find more people who have come in contact with it.

Pretty much the same here. The mayor of El Paso was on KRLD last week, said at least 20% of the covid patients in EP hospitals were from across the border. That spikes the #s
