Emailing Open Office Spreadsheet
Please excuse my complete lack of tech smarts. Avowed T Rex here.
As the thread title implies, I have an open office file that I need to email. Can one of you guys please walk me through it?
Also, once received, can the file be downloaded to excel?

when you select "create message" you'll see a paper clip, select that and it will ask what file to attach....open a folder and click on a file to attach

You might get denied for virus problems depending what’s in the spreadsheet.
On a windows box / machine
Right click on the spreadsheet file, make a zip file then email it.
Just one way to do it

Some Email programs won't accept large files like Open Office is....
Another alternative is to use FILEMAIL.COM
It will let you send almost anything...

You can save as XLS while in Open Office. I do it all the time as I am too cheap to pay for MS Office at home and actually like OO a lot more.
When you do a SAVE AS -- click down under FIle type and save as .xlsx or .xls -- that way your recipient can open easy.
No need for XLS converters or anything.
