They will certainly pay for it. If by no other means in loss of economic impact to their country.

The leadership of both sides do not want the wall.
The Dems want a permanent underclass and more voters.
The Repubs/Uniparty want cheap labor.
IMHO Trump is going to get it funded and built (legally) one way or another.

yea I don't think there's any doubt it's going up. How elaborate it is yet to be determined. I think there are plans for a 25 Billion dollar wall and plans that one can be built for 5 Billion.

I would just love to actually hear the liberals tell us the real reason they don't want the wall. But then that would probably take all the fun out of it

We don't want to lose the services of our Mexican landscapers.

The $5 billion is to build a small part of the wall, and to upgrade and repair existing fences. The claim is that $25 billion would build the entire wall. If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Montana I can let you have cheap.

Every single one of the powers that be on the Dem side wanted a wall, and even voted for one at one point in time.
Obama. Clinton. Schumer. Pelosi. Every single one of them.
$6 Billion ain't shit in our national budget to be worried about. Our budget oozes more garbage than $6 Billion.
The Dems favorite organization in the CBO estimates that Obamacare will cost our debt $685 Billion over the next 10 years. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but 685/10 is a tad bit larger than 6.

I think it could actually be built for a million bucks a mile if you could eliminate the governmental red tape.

It must really suck to find yourself in a spot where you're only comeback now is:
"But... but... you've said you'd do it before..."
This is what happens when you spend the last two years not interested in governance but more interested "owning the libs..."
At some point... the libs are gonna own ya back.
More in just a moment.
But BTW... Hillary would spent more money on border security at this point than Trump.

The Hill: GOP discord on wall prolongs shutdown fight
President is caving and it sounds like we got ourselves a good old fashion barter...
I'll offer ya 20... No 10... Scenario.
Quote:
"I told the president that I thought that we ought to cut the best deal that we could now, but it would be up to them,” Shelby [Senate Appropriations Chair - R-AL] told The Hill following the lunch. “And I also told him ... that come January 3 the political equation changes. Some of those guys don't realize that.”
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who’s in line to become Speaker next year, wrote to her troops Saturday with assurances that Democratic leaders won’t cave on the wall, even if it means the government remains closed into next year.
|
Oof...
Guess not.
In case ya'll missed it the writing has been on the wall about how this was going to play out from the jump...
Its also playing out exactly that way...
