I understand that approach, especially from anyone that is drawing an income from the sport. It makes sense as it is counterproductive to call out these things. It is just hard to watch sometimes.

love the speed-limit analogy
Who the hell drives 55??
Good point about him concentrating at his strong point, in his circle of competence.

You are painting me with a broad brush that simply isn't fair. I say what I think, positive or negative.

well sure, when you are part of an industry it is pretty hard to just openly call someone out with zero proof and make accusations.
In fact, screw it, in any walk of life thats a pretty cheap thing to do.
When the there is evidence though then I think its actually more important for people in the industry to not let things go.
And CJ definitely is not one to hold their tongue on providing opinion, I think your comment in direct reply to him is a bit unfair.

You took that the wrong way. I really didn't mean you specifically. What I meant to say is this: There are some really smart (and I mean far above the curve intelligence) working in this industry that have sharp observations on a variety of things using fragments of information to draw a hypothesis. In the case of performance enhancing drugs, in many cases, they don't use the same logic OR choose not to voice their opinions. In either case, I would find it very hard if I relied on this industry for my income knowing I had to reserve my opinions on what I clearly see as nefarious.
I love the game and have played it all my life. I'm not out to bring it down. But sometimes the circumstances are too much to take.

I don't think there is a person close to this game that just wants to "call someone out" without proof. But here's the thing, those of us who have literally studied past performances for decades can see when patterns do not align. When it happens rarely, we chalk it up to randomness. When it happens more often, it should draw our attention. When it happens CONSISTENTLY there is more to the story.

By the way, what evidence do you need?

I think seeing multiple drug violations of the serious nature and seeing numerous changes in form over very short periods of time.
When you see that I think its very to question peoples tactics.
I dont factor in it my handicapping other than to maybe skip races where I suspect the trainer.

I would say it was more you wrote it the wrong way, but I'll take you at your word that it wasn't meant that way.
