Mike Repole at the damage control center.

The number one goal is to get Uncle Mo healthy, and I feel very confident with (WinStar president) Elliott Walden and his team,” owner Mike Repole said. "Todd trains many of WinStar’s horses, and he and Elliott speak on a regular basis. Our second, distant goal when Uncle Mo gets back to the races is for him to be named 3-year-old champion and Horse of the Year.”

Keeping him in the headlines is also a top priority for these connections. Good luck to Uncle Mo at the farm I am sure we will get plenty of updates!

3yo and horse of the year ? he got jerked in the wood, scratched from the derby.....is he still a possible for the preakness ? i can't see the belmont in his future, which leaves the haskell, travers and BC.

tough mission ahead. i think repole is losing his spotlight. he'll just have to go back to vitamin water.

I wonder if he goes to the Haskell or the Travers. He did very well last summer at Saratoga and it is a much bigger spotlight for these connections.

if they can get him good again, the races are spaced far enough apart now he could make both. monmouth would be right up his alley and like you said hes done well at the spa.

has anyone heard where they stand on the preakness ?

I didn't see stay thirsty on the list thus far but as you know that changes right up until the entries are drawn, and sometimes the day before the race!

“It makes sense to keep him in the Lexington area, where he will have access to the best veterinary facilities,” trainer Todd Pletcher said in a May 9 statement. “Winstar Farm has a beautiful training facility which includes a hyperbaric chamber and a first-class staff. Our focus is to figure out what is going on internally with him and get him back to 100%.
Those hyperbaric chambers . . . they cure everything. Even when the vets don't know what's wrong. (Somehow, this seems odd?)

Put Mo in the chamber, load him up on that pure oxygen everyday, he'll catch a nice buzz, and be good to go in no time. Get well, Mo.

rumor had it that the casinos would pump pure oxygen through the ventilation systems to keep those gamblers gambling.

those damn casinos are ALWAYS ahead of the curve

So now he drops off his edge while others are tightening/coming along. Real tough road to hoe in the 3yr old division, regardless of current perceived crop status.
Those stomache issues can be pesky, and persistent, if that is indeed what we are to believe. A steroid treatment would be most effective, adding further complications timewise.
A writeoff? Has great connections for the road back. A consistent future performer is questionable for my money. Horse seems to be following path of many that shined ever so brightly/briefly for Pletcher.

On Friday afternoon Repole was a guest on Mike Franscesa's show on WFAN in New York. He said the plan for Uncle Mo was "Jim Dandy, Travers, Breeders' Cup, and out."

It will be a miracle if he makes the Jim Dandy, let alone the rest of those.

Agreed. Odd that they took him to Winstar to recover. Last I checked Winstar was not in the business of nursing ill Thoroughbreds back to health.
