Markets "selling off across the board..."
That's a bit dramatic, don't you think? I don't think, looking at a chart of even the last year, that a selloff of any kind is in place...

Pick whatever major companies you care to check out, with those companies CEO's, officer's and board of director's transactions being updated on Feb. 6th.......Get back to me then and see if your still laughing:

I've seen this discussed elsewhere. You could take it as a bad sign, but there are those who see something else as an explanation.

An expectation of the capital gains tax being cut in 2017 or be retroactive to 2017 is one reason...that's why they waited until the beginning of the year to sell.
Another is all these bigwigs joining the administration as cabinet members...they have to sell their shares...not sure how much that has to do with it, but I heard that...that may be a little out there though, I admit, but it must contribute some to the insider buy/sell ratio that now seems out of whack.
Then of course there's the market being at an all time high...never a bad time to sell, and thus could indicate a top as you say.
Curiously, there is no spiky volume like you would expect to see at a potential "top" when looking at an index fund like SPY...in fact daily volumes have been trending down since October...

gold should have about a $30 pullback in this area due to the congestion twice on the way up and down. after that it should make the run for $1400.
