I had the . Maybe a bad call or not, it is truly an American racing problem.
Everybody should watch racing in Hong Kong. The American style of 'race riding' simply isn't allowed. Not even an inch. Get out of your lane by even a half path, and the jockey will likely be bench for a month. 6 paths?
Unless we get serious about 'herding' and 'race riding', there won't be a change. Hell, we even congratulate jockeys for such tactics.
Best horse should win. That really isn't the end game of the industry right now.

There would be a dq in every race. Horses foul each other out of the gate all the time.

I have almost never, ever seen a horse taken down out of the gate. If there is a rule for a foul out of the gate, I have certainly never seen it.

Your hong kong example is exactly my point, a lot of this stuff would disappear if there were real penalty.
How about 30 day suspensions for intentionally causing your horses to make contact 15 days for accidental. Riders would be a whole lot careful. Would clean stuff up in no time.

You have to be much the best right now on the turf if you have no speed, mid and front pack runners have been dominant.

I've got a note for the turf to look for closers early in them eet, while the grass is lush and longer, early speed later on when it gets trampled down more.
Might be a speedy meet all along this year.

speed did not do as well yesterday, I think everyone became aware of the situation and the paces increased.

I did not keep records or look at any charts, but yesterday they seem to be faster early than the day before.
And in response to Andy's tweet. Growing up in the Midwest I learned early on that there is one thing about bull-riding to remember. Do not do it.

So a crowd increase of 70.3% fueled a handle increase of only 3.6%. If in fact, there were as many fans as reported then they weren't at DMR to bet horses. It might have been the reggae concert after the races that drew the crowd. The concert is free with a paid admission to the track.

Probably doesn't belong in this thread as much as others but it's a pretty cool thing that happened.
