Suffolk has had more endings than the last of the Hobbit trilogy films, but is still a few short of Atlantic City Race Track.

If Suffolk Downs was a 1 1/8-mile track it might have a better chance at survival.

... or maybe if they had people who would actually go to the track instead of talking about how great it used to be at Suffolk Downs.
(Yes, I am making a joke.)
Seriously, there are a lot of things preventing Suffolk from succeeding. Everything from governmental issues to the quality of horses and management.
A bigger over is just not a major issue here.

I used to be a Suffolk regular back in the late 80s, early 90s.
Trust me, it wasn't great then either...
Although I'll always love the place.

Well, since I've never been to Suffolk, I'll give it a shot in June. I'm a sucker for racetracks on life support.

I drove by Suffolk about 20 times.
Never had a chance to stop when they were racing.
I used to fly into Logan and drive up to Parker Brothers in Salem for work a lot. Always wanted to stop in.
Easy to get to from Logan - pretty close by.

I’ll go to one of the sets. Got a couple friends from Boston. Will it be over ? Who knows, I saw The Who last summer at Atlantic City, their first “farewell tour” was about 1989.

We probably rubbed elbows...
That said.
Someone said this to me once, and it was funny..then not...then funny again.
Name a track that's...
...in a major city
...rabid sports fan base
...near the ocean
...can take train to get there easily
...lots of nearby young beautiful people
...good food nearby
Del Mar...or Suffolk?
