Moving Preakness to Sunday...

I think thats a terrible idea. They just broke the attendance record yesterday. Why change things?

It's the rite move, why not maximize Susan day profit when people are off from work

Over the past 2 weeks had the privilege of meeting Tim Ritvo and Sal Sinatra and these guys are first class and care about the gamblers I can promise you that

These guys are doing everything possible to make Maryland racing relevant they put in new flat screen televisions added new wagers and opened up a new otb in a Casino

but it would be a awesome weekend if both days were on a sat sun, it just makes all the sense in the world to do it

I think if AP wins the triple crown the historians can finally back off, we would have a TC winner and going forward they can set a new standard

I really think if this horse sweeps the TC landscape will change big time going forward

The current configuration of the Triple Crown has only been won by three horses, so it really doesn't matter.

Sir Barton won the Preakness when it was only a mile and an eighth race and Citation had six weeks between the Derby and Belmont and like a few others won a race in between.

In 1930, the Preakness was run on a Friday and it was prior to the Kentucky Derby.

There are a lot of Triple trends that aren't done anymore. One of those is running the Preakness one week after the Kentucky Derby. Omaha, War Admiral, Whirlaway, and Count Fleet all did it, so why not use what worked. Assault was only given four weeks and he did it.

I'm all for moving the Preakness up a week so the horse has time to recover for the Belmont.

As for moving the Preakness. I would say move it to Laurel until they get everything fixed at Pimlico then move it back like what they did in the 60's to Belmont Park when they moved the races to Aqueduct.

I for one travel from out of state and a good amount of people come from outside the immediate area. Move it to Sunday and you lose all of that. I work Mondays. I couldn't give 2 craps about black eye susan day.
