If you make a MISTAKE at any step..
You have to delete everything in the Handifast2020 folder ....
and START OVER!!!
PS-believe me ...I must have done it over 10 times already...LOL

You don't click the file type you want. The program will automatically read the type of file you have. So don't click on a file type. They are just for illustration as to what type files work with the program. Is the mcp extension in small letters or Capital letters? The program is set to read .mcp and not .MCP. If Bris has changed the extension to Capital letters then I will have to change the code. But when I used them they were .mcp small letters.

Handi,
You can always force the case by using Lower$() or Upper$() after the input. No matter what the user does it's in the case that Handifast needs. This way you don't have to have separate code branches or force the user to do things a particular way. Just a suggestion.

Thanks, the big problem was the case of the extension.
I saw you said the tracks are hard coded into the program. Why not create an .INI file so the user can change the list? I would furnish a backup to the original .INI to lower the likelihood of someone completely shooting themself in the foot.

Handi, Just a brief note. I also was clicking the file type (DRF) and crashing the program in the beginning. Maybe you should disable the radio button next to them or modify the field so the user knows not to click them. Just a thought.

I'm going to do just that in the next bug fix. I forgot I had them put in and then went a different direction to save user a step.
Thanks,
Handi

Yes, thanks! The thing that was the main problem was the lower case filename requirement.

I just said that I got it to work. Maybe your advice might be appropriate.
