He's not gonna get a positive test and the extra scrutiny will work in his favor to rehab his reputation.

He will? What, get a positive or rehab his reputation?

Baffert has stable full of Derby contenders this year like any other year. Chances are they take this years derby away from him, but he had the best horse the first Saturday in May. Medina Spirit was my play

I have to believe next spring is going to a Waterloo moment for Baffert. He's obviously planning to file some big splashy lawsuit right before the Derby and try to bamboozle a court into granting a last second injunction against Churchill (and NYRA if they complete their process before then), but he's really unlikely to win that. Which means his owners are going to end up having to pull their 3 year olds out of his care, and probably younger horses too.

Owners will need to know whether Baffert can run in the K. derby BEFORE the first prep. I would think February at the latest.

I don't see Churchill banning a horse like Corniche from the Derby. Baffert's assistant will be allowed to train his stable at Churchill.

That has already been addressed explicitly, not going to happen.

we'll see... I don't see them not allowing a prohibitive favorite race. If so then the Preakness becomes the Derby

I mean if it gets overturned in court it could happen, but that is about it. And it isn't likely to succeed in court.

I don't think that horse will wind up being some great 3yo, we'll see though. But the Derby will be the Derby. My guess is they'll actually change barns to another trainer.
