So now I should apologize for doing my job and trying to help players?
Retreads are so boring.

You attacked me in post #122 , and now call me a retread.
I've only given my opinion on any matter, and not offensive to anyone.
I like the work you do for NYRA.

I'd rather get back to this part than Arrogate v. Secretariat. I liked Arrogate - but have him beat Sham first at 1 1/8, then he can face the final boss Secretariat
The vet records for Medina Spirit linked upthread (plus those for Gamine elsewhere in that Twitter feed) give some idea of how much Baffert's operation relies on owners willing to spend significant $$$ on all sorts of veterinary treatments, etc. (including entrapped epiglottis surgery for Medina Spirit in March before the Kentucky Derby). Recall Baffert's spate of horses dropping dead with thyroid medicine onboard. Etc. Nothing illegal. Just a reminder that an unlimited vet budget can keep your horse in training, allow them to work harder, etc. Baffert is so used to massive vet presence/spending that all of these violations could be background noise to him.
But completely agreed with dilanesp - the sport can survive without Baffert in it.

I obviously never attacked him once. Apparently disagreeing and pointing out falsehoods is an attack.
I remember when people did attack others on message boards. Now people just whine when called on their BS.

How far back was he? 20 lengths certainly doesn't seem like a stretch if we are honest. What is it 15 or 16? Can't be less.

If anything, that was a dead rail that day and speed wasn't great, not a gold rail. It isn't even really debatable.
Here is the Trakus chart from that day if you anyone wants to see the actual lengths back. Doesn't look like it was ever 10 if I'm reading them right, starting at the 100 meter mark.

I'm claiming foul here.
Horses were rallying from far back on the far outside all day on that track and Gun Runner never appreciated the wet going (plus he wasn't near the horse he eventually became yet). We know how good Arrogate was for a few races (very very good), but imo that setup wasn't nearly as bad as it looked.
(edit: I see CJ beat me to it)

Following the Santa Anita Derby, Medina Spirit developed dermatitis on his hind end. I had him checked out by my veterinarian who recommended the use of an anti-fungal ointment called Otomax. The veterinary recommendation was to apply this ointment daily to give the horse relief, help heal the dermatitis, and prevent it from spreading. My barn followed this recommendation and Medina Spirit was treated with Otomax once a day up until the day before the Kentucky Derby. Yesterday, I was informed that one of the substances in Otomax is betamethasone.

So which is it?

Is it not possible the veterinarian left and charged for 2 tubes of Otomax with instructions to apply daily topically?

If Baffert's suspension results in an acceleration of horse talent leaving Cali, then Cali has bigger racing problems than Baffert's suspension. And it wouldn't be solved by Baffert's remaining there.

Also, while you'd obviously always rather have a good start rather than a bad start, in a long race, bad starts are far from fatal, especially when the horse is not a need-the-lead type. There's plenty of time to get back into the race, as Arrogate did.

What is the highest rating you have ever given a horse CJ?
