The environmentalist are making it harder for fire prevention in the state - limiting brush clearing, dozing fire lines, controlled burns.

It is if you consider the idiots' rhetoric as hot air.

C'mon Ralph.. pretty sure scientists are saying that climate change has had the effect of making conditions more favorable for wildfires. More drought and heat, extended dry seasons, wind, lightning, etc.

Don't know of anyone that suggested that Gabe L. Warming was the guy who lit the match

Except that in reality land, regulations are the culprit in making conditions more favorable for wildfires. That part of CA receives little in the way of rainfall from April thru November. In fact, LA on average receives 3.25 inches total during those 8 months. Even if climate change was real and reduced that average by 30%, how is one inch of less rain over 8 months going to impact the amount of fire potential in that area? The answer is none Dan.

Low humidity in Southern California has a big effect on fires also. I lived for decades in SoCal and always barbecued with wood. Moving to Virginia I was shocked at how much harder it was to light a fire here even with the same materials. In Cali if you split a piece of oak down you could light it with a little newspaper or sawdust and a match. With the humidity here in Virginia you almost need a blow torch to light oak unless you are throwing on an existing fire. Southern California has been dry and had issues with wind long before global warming was invented.

I have good news. The mud slides are putting out the forest fires!

California been having fires for as long they have had trees.
Everyone knows this one was set by RUSSIANS.
