I also like Everfast.

Liking Everfast and Master Fencer is as far as I've gotten today in my research. Waiting to see who else is entered.

Master Fencer seems to be this year's Gronkowski. He'll be close. Tacitus will also be close, the question is that horses like him see to always be loved, then finish 3rd or 4th.

Turns out 5/2 on WoW would be a gift. I can’t really see anyone other than him or Tacitus winning.

I've re-thought Master Fencer. Looks like ankle is okay after all.

Re Tacitus, liked him for the derby (but had him 4th instead of 3rd, and had all the rest of the superfecta in a straight bet, so liking him a little more than I did would have helped my bank account immensely LOL)

Just don't like him for this, being a tapit isn't enough, you have to be the *right* tapit and I just don't think he has the right stuff for this race. He's usually pretty far back, actually. I worked up his mare side profile, it is a little to much toward the speedy side which I don't like in a belmont horse too much.

For the actual WIN, I am looking thru these:
Spinoff
Sir Winston
Intrepid Heart
Everfast
Master Fencer
Tax

Unfortunately Tacitus has caught fire and is the likely favorite. I'll be looking deeper at this point.

Yes, his trainer has already pointed this out.

The sand here is "lighter" than what he is used to.

You really only have to watch his workouts to tell he has no problems with the Belmont surface. He is used to racing in different directions, so I suspect the rider was trying to get him to change leads and maybe tapped him a little too hard which is what caused him to stumble. I don't know, I didn't read about it but that is my guess.

I will not be holding a winning ticket then. But will cover myself with a few singles like I did in the Derby which miraculously worked out. If he goes off as the favorite at low odds, he will bring down the value of any exotic most likely so not sure I will regret not taking a chance on not putting him first.

1988- 2014: 5 five Preakness winners won the Belmont Stakes but only one Kentucky Derby winner won it. 1979-2014, only 2 horses won both the derby and the belmont -- not applicable here due to the fact that neither the DQ winner or the offiical winner of the Derby is running in this year's Belmont. But it is interesting.........

I regret that I will have to play him 1st, 2nd and probably 4th if I do an exotic. I looked over some linebreeding charts and while Hofburg and Frosted didn't bring it, Tonalist, Creator, and Tapwrit did and some of the influences are very similar.

I am hoping he doesn't run 1st though. I need better value in this race.
