In the 10th, there are three entered that are coming out of the Hidden Scroll race.
The 4, 7 & 8. That will tell you more. But , the horse 4th, 18 lengths behind Hidden Scroll, Did this next.

The Derby Stretch Duel . . .
I’d like to see Hidden Scroll win this race but from what I’ve read the percentages are not with him. Nevertheless, I wish him well. I’d like to see him and Improbable clear the field turning for home come the Kentucky Derby, give us a nice stretch duel; it would be good for the game.
~ Speed figures translate poorly between different classes of nonclaiming competition as from maiden conditions to nonwinners allowances, or allowances to stakes and they do not apply when distances and surfaces change. More important, speed figures too often obscure the combinations of attributes they intend to reflect. Worse, they can mislead handicappers into believing the numbers reflect qualities they actually do not. Classy horses are usually fast, but many fast horses are none too classy. (Quinn, 2000) ~
An interesting race but I believe, relatively straight forward. Two groups: Group A: Weight 122 lbs. Non-winners of a graded stakes allowed 2 lbs. Group B: non-winners of two races other than maiden, claiming or starter, 6 lbs.
Group A:
Group B:
I’ll play the percentages. I’ll drop number from group A, add number .
Signalman to win.
Box
Best of the best.
Best or racing luck.
Lookin’ forward to the Fountain of Youth !

I like the in here.
Shug wouldn't be here if the horse wasn't ready after the last race.
Hidden Scroll may be the best by far in here, but no way is he a good bet, even if he wins at low odds.
Vekoma is my second choice to move up thanks to a fost pace.
Bourbon War is my third choice.

temptation
Yea...
I think he actually went off favored...
I had a show bet loaded up, but you aren't betting the Morning Line, you're betting the final odds...
That's one of those that you pick days in advance, and then you know it's OBVIOUS to everyone and you know the morning line is bad...
So he paid $2.60, and it could have been lower had a mid-range price not run 2nd.
Temptation and you see it all unfold, and you see the money is a very high probability of cashing, but that's not how I play.

There's no way that he'll be 9/2 fourth choice as he is in the morning line. He's 'obvious', and a bunch of players will have committed to betting him back. Expect at least co-favoritism, maybe 2-1/5-2 if the public doesn't go overboard.
There's a long shot chance that we'll be comparing the 10th race to the Fountain of Youth.

Some big fat odds on the board available for the anything-but-the crowd.
Especially tempting after the last one.

Hidden Scroll looks unbelievable.
I’m sticking with the though. 50 to win.
And all of a sudden Hidden Scroll just defecated a ton. Don’t like

Hidden Scroll looks like a monster.
I think he might be the real deal.

Other than the defecation I mentioned (seriously, not trying to be funny. I won’t bet a horse if I see that) he looks tremendous

The start seemed a bit pressured. Fast opening fraction I think, but had comfortable position. I actually thought he was going to have the win. I expected a bit more from Signalman but will have to maybe watch the replay there.

Bourbon War was just a tad bit too late to the scene.
