Stable bet the hell out of Saratoga Angel--just as predicted..today WAS the day--it takes a really incompetent stable to do all that's necessary to set up a betting coup---then blow it in a photo.

Whoa!! To win any race is a lot harder than you think. You may have a horse ready to fire but so may someone else. Everything has to go just right on a given day, especially with one of these horses that don't look good on paper. The stable may have been competent but the jock made an error in judgement somewhere along the trip. There are too many factors that go into a race to say I will win today. Even the favorites lose 2/3 of the time. Many coups are tried, few are accomplished. I am speaking from experience here. I could go on........ but I think you get the idea.

LOL .. I HAVE been known to make some outlandish statements, when posting in the middle of the night.

However---I really don't think this was one, greenie--speaking from MY EXPERIENCE. You are exactly right about prepping a horse for a betting coup, only to find ANOTHER horse whose connections have the same intentions. I have a name for those horses...I call them "ringers"..or horses that were also set-up.
I enjoy this subject, and appreciate your posting.

PARX RACE 7

This race had 3 solid win possibilities...

NEGRITO 6-1

BEACH HUT 5/2

WOODLAND WALK 12-1

All 3 were almost literally tied for the top (using my method) --I chose 'Woodland (the winner) only because she had the highest odds--that's my tiebreaker.

Beach Hut was right there, as she figured to be.

Negrito didn't hit the board, which honestly, was really surprising. If you put a gun to my head--I would have selected Negrito without regard to odds. Checked the chart for the race, and wasn't surprised to find he'd had some trouble. Call it an instinct, but I think this horse would have won the race, with the 2nd and the running 3rd.

It was good for me, no doubt, since I won....I didn't hit the trifecta consisting of those three, but I feel pretty confident I'll be rewarded soon.

Negtito is already on my horses to watch list--I would suggest you put him on yours. With his seemingly poor showing today--he may be a big price next out--and that's when we're gonna score

The chartmaker even did us a favor, by not making a big deal out of Negrito's trouble--here's the chart: \/

checked the chart

Truth. Even old crafty would admit that for every Andial there were a half-dozen Never Out of Roses.

I am really surprised GG GIO wasn't right there, az. Looked at that last paceline---all looked good--but finally ended up passing. That's a horse to keep an eye on.

NorCal's Prime Plays

Good morning P.A. nation. First, a thank you to Ellis Starr--mentioned to him a thread I had going, about 6.5F races....he said he would find the thread and weigh in--which he did. One thing I learned from Ellis a long time ago--he probably doesn't even remember this:

It was about maiden races---he said in racing, horses go up and down in class--depending on their current form.
But with maidens....the elevator only goes one way--DOWN. Once maidens drop in class--there is no going back up.

What he meant was...when 'capping a group of maidens...any that have competed at a lower class level--and today is back up again--you can just toss that one from further consideration. The elevator only goes down. Now some smart guy is gonna say...but what about maidens coming from an upper tier track, to a lower tier? They go up in class when shipping to lesser tracks!
I'll just let the smart guy stew on that---until he finally has that "aha" moment, and figures it out

I haven't really been myself lately...and noticed I've been posting some harsh things to some people. A couple days ago, I was discharged from my job--not for misconduct, but medical--severe anxiety issues. I'm going on disability, so suddenly have a lot of free time. I'm not old enough to "retire" but you know all that money Uncle Sugar takes from you every payday--well, I get to RECEIVE some of that back, now. Trust me, it ain't a lot, either.
My reason for mentioning this is, I hope I haven't offended anyone too much,
lately. It's hard to get pushed out the door where you work, so to keep my mind occupied I've just jumped into the thing I love best--handicapping, researching, testing, and being a pest to some people here on P.A.
A couple people---or more, lol...don't much care for me. That's cool---just know this:

I'LL HAVE A LOT MORE TIME TO POST HERE

Allright, enough of that---I'm gonna post up my prime plays..called KILLER PLAYS. I made a file to put them in--and windows sort of insists you NAME this file--so I just named it "killer"
There was some discussion about people winning thousands of dollars, but not proving it by simply posting up their best plays. That's so easy to do--it's comical.
I am not a pro player---but I have time to study my plays, and come up with prime plays. They only come up maybe 3-4 times a week. These are the one's I jump on. Unless I'm not winning, of course--then I find some new plays to jump on. All methods, or combinations of methods--can go cold at any time
No one bet these....I need the prices to stay high

That's all I got for now--thanks for taking the time to read this
