The one is 30-1 and he deserves it but that is a juicy price. The 5 is a closer with rising speed figures (bris). Has won twice at the track and only loss was by a neck.
Haikal is my pick and my bet. Also a small saver on the 1.
Finally did something right

Great prep for the Allen Jerkens this summer at the spa!

That being said I got to look for a price. I used Haikal in my horizontals.

Nothing out of that race impressed me.
Instagrand looked terrible.
His owner never should of put this horse away last year for no good reason.
It's not the first time he's botched things up.
He should stick to writing the Checks.

Skipping the Kentucky Derby (if he fails to qualify in the next prep or the owner eventually decides against it) will benefit Instagrand in the long run. He doesn't need to be thrown into a crazy 20-horse field at 1 1/4 miles.

I could imagine Instagrand meeting these same horses again down the line in the Woody Stephens.

That was a hard race.

TimeformUS pace figs had it 158 156 .

Baffert's horse appeared en route to 'stealing the race'. Instagrand and co. took up chase, never really having a chance to cruise at a comfortable rhythm in line with his conditioning.

Long drive. Hard pace.

Does Instagrand want to go 9F+ 2-turns?

I have no idea. I haven't seen enough yet to form an opinion.
