I wonder if the dipsh#t understands that if the electricity demand doubles, the price of electricity will skyrocket. I hope he doesn't just fix the racist roads but also the homophobic roads

It is so comical that he is being discussed by Democrats as the future of the party if Biden doesn't run in 2024. Someone who takes maternity leave in the middle of a crisis in the department he heads. He is in over his head in his current job, obviously and doesn't take it seriously. As far as your sky rocketing electrical prices, Jen Psaki says it is immoral and unacceptable to pass on increase costs of doing business to consumers. I am sure the power companies will take her words to heart and not pass on the costs of new construction and upgrades to consumers, they will just lower their profit margins.

Congratulations to Pete Buttigieg and his husband on the birth of their new twins. And leave it to you guys to turn something beautiful into something sordid. It’s paternity leave. Calling it maternity leave when two men are involved is homophobic and bigoted. Or better yet, call it Family leave. An opportunity for both parents to bond with their new children.
Thousands of people work in the Transportation Department. Buttigieg has many competent deputies. I’m sure they got along just fine while he was out. Especially since he was just a phone call or zoom call away.

Postal work ethic must have moved over to the Buttigieg house hold. Most working men do not have the luxury of taking off 2 months for maternity leave. At tax payers dollars. You have a child, you work more, and let Mom bond. The way it has always been.

And that is the problem. That we live in a country where a man can’t take time off to bond with his new child, can’t take time off to help his wife care for that child.
The problem is not that we are finally moving toward a country in which a parent, of either gender, can take time from work without suffering financially. The problem is you, with your toxic masculinity, with your obsession with money at the expense of people.
Your attitude about a father’s role is exactly why Donald Trump turned out as he did. An emotionally absent father, who was more concerned with making money than being with his children.

Would never happen elsewhere. Most maternity leaves are based off FMLA leave which require you to have worked 1250 hours in the past 12 months for your employer.

At the very least, such a move would be a career killer. Just because you are allowed to do a thing doesn't mean it's wise to do it.

If he keeps doubling down on his 'racist roadway' idiocy, I wouldn't mind if he took a few years off.

Truckers pay taxes to each state for fuel burned in that state its called IFTA(international fuel tax agreement) Now butgag wants to make each trucker pay some kind of mileage tax, well we already do and this is insanity. How did someone that has no experience in the transportation industry get a job as the secretary of transportation?

I would like it if he played in the road.
Dems are idiots because they have no clue as to how things affect each other. The best thing Butt-man could do for the country is take off another 6 months.

Yeah that's gonna help with inflation.. transportation adds a significant amount to the shelf price as it is. All these actions would be laughable if they were not having a negative effect on the quality of life of average citizens. Just because he like to be bent over and screwed doesn't mean we do.
