Imbedded ads in DRF charts now means 28 pages to print a 10-race card. Such waste!

I have a Brother HL-2230 I bought around 6-7 years ago. They don't use ink, instead it uses toner... & only prints in B&W.

I got tired of buying those damn HP cartridges for $35 a pop--the toner for mine is around $15. I get a message saying "Toner is low"--I take the cartridge out--shake it up--put it back in--and get 2 or 3 more months of printing. Lasts me almost a year, before I actually need more toner.

Just don't buy the BROTHER name brand cartridge at 3X the cost.

Yeah I would never buy an inkjet printer. I use a laser printer. Samsung has some very reasonably priced ones for the "home office". Mine uses a toner cartridge and I swear it's lasted 2 years now. Mine is an older Samsung laser printer that only prints in B&W.

Wouldn't downloading Adblock Plus work? I'm not sure if it's useful on other browsers, but I use it on Firefox.

I don't think that would do anything to a PDF, especially when it comes to printing. This is being addressed I'm told.

1) For anyone who regularly prints pp’s, you HAVE to have a laser printer. I change the print setting to “Save ink” and get around 2,000 pages per $79 toner cartridge.

2) In the meantime before DRF makes the corrections, just go to Print Preview to see how the pages will print out.

When you select to print, go through the PDF file and only print the pages with the print you want on it. Don’t blindly choose “All” every time you print. You can also select the pages you only want to print by inserting a comma between numbers for the pages you want to bypass. For example, in a six page file, if pages 3 and 4 are blank, I would enter under “Select Pages” 1-2,5-6. Then the blank pages will be bypassed.

It would be nice to have them put the Daily Variant/Turf status in the PDF in place of the add - only 1 file to open!

I just went to Aqueducts charts for yesterday's 9 race card and the PDF is exactly 9 pages. Same for GPW.
