Stimulus amount

My wife and I have three dependents and file together. Under the family designated amount. Thought the math was pretty easy here. $1400 for each. Instead of getting $7000 we got $3500. Anyone else have a similar experience or have some insight on this?

IRS must be using anti-racist math.

Have you used one of the stimulus calculators? Just enter in a couple basics like your AGI and # of dependents:

All of this $ the government is giving away is the USA's road to ruin. Very soon the US dollar will become virtually worthless while the cost of a loaf of bread will be ten dollars.

COME ON MAN, it is to get the majority of the country used to being dependent on the great dimocrat leadership. Hopefully they do not notice the increase in energy, food, and inflation.

Up until an AGI of $150K. At that point the stimulus diminishes on a sliding scale until it reaches $160K.

And AGI of approx $155K gets him the $3500.

It is a logical explanation of why he got $3,500 and not $7,000

No where near 150k. My wife only works part time. My kids are older. 24, 22, and 18. So we didn't get anything for them in previous stimulus payments. But my understanding was that it didn't matter if they were over 17 as long as they were dependents on this one. Like Tom said, it should be 7k. Seems like everyone I work with got the correct amount. Just curious if anyone else had this happen.
