Hmm...sorry but I don't see any email from you, Hanger

I'm here in Vegas now (actually Laughlin) bored to death. There's only 2 other people in the race book currently, but was pretty busy over the weekend.

I'll give Parx my undivided attention and maybe win some ducats...hit a 2.2k slot signer the day I got here.

Tampa 4-21 Trainer Moves Top Power

Thank you big Vinnie
.

.

A horse entered in the 3rd @ Tampa SUPER EDGAR 12-1 ML has the longshot "look", with just enough trainer tipoffs to get my money. Oh yeah, he looks horrible, but what big longshot doesn't? I'm thinking there may be more to this horse than appears...the price should be huge. Definitely worth Stable Watch status if today isn't the day.

SUPER EDGAR

To recap--SUPER EDGAR, who hadn't come within a quarter mile of the winners in his last 4 races (at huge odds)...goes off in the 3rd @ 7-1, showing solid backing & a well-meant horse. He led briefly turning for home but came up short and paid $6.20 to place. Big whoop.

To add insult to injury, was entered in several HT contests, and the time got away from me. The format was P&P for one--I got maybe half my picks down before the clock ran out. Needless to say, that sucked.

SUN RAY PARK Friday

SunRay (yes, it is one word) begins their meet Friday...only thing is half the races are quarter horses, at least early in the meet.

Sooo I'll try a parlay for the heck of it. These are kinda fun to play-wish I would actually win one.

$10 SUN RAY PARLAY

6TH - DE BILLY'S BOY 3-1 ----SHOW
7TH - ZUNI 9/2 ------------SHOW
8TH - WHO'S ASKING 9/2----SHOW
9TH - R H EXPRESS 4-1 ---- WIN

No, sorry Jayhawk...the user can only print out the 3-horse-per-race contender list. I agree such a printout could be helpful, but we had to cut out a couple bells and whistles to keep the cost reasonable. There is always the "snipping tool" that comes with Windows...that's the method I use when I post up one of the spot plays here.

Best,

.

Skittles vending machine in the hotel... a couple dollars gets you a little handful of skittles. I could live off the proceeds from that one alone if I can fight off Marshawn Lynch.

SRP LATE DOUBLE

My parlay never got going as 1 horse was scratched in the sequence-wouldn't have been a winner anyway.

Just for kicks I took a look at the DD Calc for the late double.
.

WHOSE ASKING looked like a solid favorite, and was the only 8th race selection, as much as I dislike betting favorites--sometimes he's unavoidable.

In the 9th, that was more like it. You gotta remember where you are--see that horse in the DD will pay - 8th race that didn't have a penny bet on him. Not big money swings here, that's for sure.
.

.
DEVIL'S TEETH was a shaky well-bet fav...I was a little worried about GOLDEN CANYON until a quick look at his pp's relieved that worry. Also, both UNCLE FLOYD and WHO'S ASKING were both atop the ABILITY column. It doesn't hurt to check that Ability column--you may see a surprise or two, there.
Soooo...no Parlay to report, but my $5 exacta paid a C-Note. I even tried to be cute and cold-punch a pick-4 (it could happen!) -but not this time.

I have had good luck at Sunray using the power #'s. Also it is one of the highest rebate tracks in the country if you are a rebate player.
