9th@Mountaineer ~ 10:20PM/et

9th@Mountaineer: 5.5F Md5000 ~ purse $8,100 ~ 7/30/13
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three Class Droppers, one visiting Mountaineer for the 1st time,
liven up Bottom-Level Maiden bunch. Half the field look hopeless.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Paradise Prince (15/1ML)~ Loses Oliveros, who couldn't get
much out of 6YO anyways. Tri/Super suck-up BCS.
2) Weather Trick (10/1)~ Nowhere in 3 tries at this level. Pass.
3) Shortys Fashion (6/1)~ Early Speed, cuts back 110Y,& ran
OK three back in local debut. Backers hold breath final 330Y.
4) Trust in Frank (20/1)~ Big Mud Try 5 back going 5F,& closed
for 2nd end of 2012 meet. 0/87 Trainer, 6/198 Jock? i don't Trust.
5) Going Stick (30/1)~ Has ONE competitive try in 16. Next.
6) Moonshine Ridge (7/5 ML fave)~ Class Dropper #1, Matties
Bros. tried Local Turf, P.isle Tapeta, now put "Red Tag Sale" on
4YO bred to have been better. Beat To Win, but no lock IMO.
7) Hothalfone (10/1)~ Class Dropper #2, has shown little, but
also faces little. 2nd-Time Lasix angle, TD agrees to pilot.
8) Mello Wishes (20/1)~ New Face in crowd, 5YO was 81/1 when
running for Md5000 tag @Evg. 2 months ago. Best Beyer? -0.
9) Suspect's Wish (5/1)~ Class Dropper #3, also taking Turf to
Tapeta to Bottom trip. Been training well locally, decent Jock.
10) R.T.Spanky (9/2)~ Sparky debuted for this $5K tag by an
excellent Owner/Trainer, did nada, then almost Blew Up tote
on Turf. Nothing off-the-turfer in last, now back to bottom.
Why not give the Lawn another shot? Why in for $5K Debut?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: While many may focus in solely on ML Fave, it should
be noted that connections seem to do better when prices, & often
fail as Faves. RT has solid connections, but don't consider this a
'drop' as he debuted for $5K. Hothalf has cold connections locally,
& Mello just may not be able to run. My Wish is for Suspect to be
able to stalk & pounce on Shorty & Ridge. $1 Tri: (369)(369)(1)=$6
Good Luck to All, & See You at Night School!

8th@Mountaineer 9:55PM/et

8th@Mountaineer: 5.5F Clm5000N1Y ~ purse: $8.700 ~ 7/30/13
(non-winners of One in 12 months, lowest condition Mountain writes)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five Cutbacks, 3 New Faces,& 3 Class Droppers try to escape
"The Bottom". Usually Invaders/Droppers rule at this level.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Vulcan (7/2ML)~ 241-Day Layoff, 550Y Cutback, & One 3F work
normally an Auto-Toss, yet 8YO West Coast Invader major player if ready.
2) Lively Exit (30/1)~ i'll use a Graceful Exit... Next!
3) Smooth Transition (9/5 ML Fave)~ 6YO Catches very easy
field while dropping from N2-12mo. Needs Pace, not sure he'll get it.
Only runner in field with more than 4 wins. Closer Vulnerable fave.
4) No Lip (4/1)~ Private Purchase by Lethal Connections make
this 5YO a Must-Use, even with 2/44 Lifetime mark. Speed of Field?
5) Good Family (10/1)~ Curious claim by solid trainer & 550Y
cutback main reasons to consider one-paced 6YO runner.
6) King of Candyland (10/1)~ 5YO eligible for N3L, goes 2nd off
352-day layoff in Local Debut. Chases Family early?
7) Seven Blue (6/1)~ Yet Another 550Y Cutback runner, ran OK
3rd vs. 2/5 fave in local debut. Trainer having career Year, Must-Use.
8) Mikes Monster (8/1)~ 7YO has bounced between N4L & this
N1-12mo. conditon with little success. Tri/Super/SH5 BCS tonight.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: ML Fave drops, but needs pace. No Lip is using the
"in Baird We Trust" angle, Vulcan has Best Back Beyers, & Seven
Blue Trainer has been getting Picture Taken like a Model lately.!
(3-4-7) Should get you through P3/4/6, & i'll use 4-7 in Late DD.
Good Luck To ALL!
