I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!

That scenario is brilliantly logical and realistic compared to what Trump is saying.

If they shut down the government over the wall and he flat tells congress to pound sand until they have that in there he will win. And I don't think Pelosi has the guts to keep it closed long. Nor Schumer.

Shut it down with a couple of caveats.
1. Congress doesn't get paid, nor will they get any payment in arrears when it cranks back up.
2. Take all Federal Funds given to California away, and build the Wall with those funds till they behave like a member of the United States of America

I wouldn't be too quick to underestimate that.

I have to admit that I know zip about the Potsdam Conference, but I suggest when one of those backpacks contains a dirty bomb that impacts big numbers you will see the Congress act.

They are making the wall now anyway ... if 0bamer can find a couple hundred billion in cash to help Iran fund world terrorism, Trump can find the money for his southern border security.

I believe the Iranian cash deal was their money all along ... we froze it after the seizure of hostages.
If paying for a wall is a problem, best idea I've heard so far is a tax of Mexican earned money that gets sent back to their homeland.

Money was frozen mostly under Bush and Obama.
That awful idea was floated by Trump back 2015-16. It wouldn't survive in court and violates tons of laws.
What's more interesting is that we're back to square one repeating campaign ideas Trump had 2 years ago...
Why hasn't he gotten the money? Hell, he even got the Democrats to agree to the $25 Billion twice earlier this year... now he can't get $5?
What happened?
I have my answer it's what's everyone elses?
