As far as "gotcha" goes, I am not afraid of them. I say things for one of 3 reasons - I mean it, I am being sarcastic, or I am trying to piss someone off! I actually laugh when people go to all the trouble to search my old posts and "Get me!"

Not at all uncommon to change my mind as I get new info or things play out not the way I thought they would. I was impressed with OBama t the very beginning of his run. Thought he wad a great chance to heal some wounds and unite the country. Whoa Boy!

The people I am worried about ar the one who never change their minds.
Sar Mike is on OK guy - I don't take anything he posts as bad. He is one of the few who is able to discuss topics.

Tried to give you points on this one, says I have to pass some love (points) around to others before I can give you more. (same when I tried to give points to dahoss (the one from bossier city), Ralph, and fast to name a few.)

Great post

OVER-EATING is a greater long term pathological aspect to bad health than these phoney cigarettes.

GDP growth is a function of population/labor force growth and productivity. The former doesn't have a bright future given demographic trends. More restrictive immigration policies could also impact this part of the equation (longer term). The latter has been restrained for years, with no clear explanation from economists (right/left/or center). The corporate tax cuts were meant to spur investment, which in turn would drive productivity higher. That (investment activity) actually happened for a few quarters, but it appears to have petered out more recently. Finally, there's too leverage in the US and the world, which has driven overcapacity in many parts of the economy.

The yield curve has a great track record of predicting recessions. 2s/10s are un-inverted as of now, and 1s/10s are close to un-inverted. I wouldn't dismiss their message, if they start to invert again. Everything we're seeing now are coincident indicators, and therefore hold no predictive powers. This is not a political statement, just examining data/past events.

Democrat Al Green- "If we don't impeach this president, he will get re-elected."

Finally the truth!

Lets do some simple math on the 6 million off food stamps who are now working and paying taxes.

Average $100 per month = $600,000,000+ month = $7,000,000,000 per year (7B)

President Trump is a PANCAKE THIEF. OH NOOO.

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trum...claims-1459388

"A relative of President Donald Trump has accused the self-proclaimed billionaire of being a pancake thief, having stolen a handful of flat cakes while on vacation at his late mother's former home in Scotland."
