RULES
RULES & OBJECTIVES
OBJECTIVES
1.To accumulate the highest Bankroll over 30 races during the contest period. Win, Place & Exacta wagers.
***
RULES
1.This is an individual player event.
2. The Contest consists of 30 total thoroughbred races running from Saturday, March 10th to Saturday, April 21st , 2012.
3. The Contest includes a series of 15 Graded Stakes races, comprised of Kentucky Derby preps.
4. A minimum of 10 of the Graded Stakes races are mandatory as part of a player’s 30 race total.
5. The balance of the 30 thoroughbred race total will be “Player’s Choice” from any North American track with entries and results listed in Equibase. (www.equibase.com)
6. Play will be allowed from Wednesday to Sunday weekly and US/Canadian Holidays as posted.
7. No play allowed on Mondays or Tuesdays unless specified as a US/Canadian Holiday. (Monday, April 9th is a Canadian Holiday)
8. Players may play a maximum of three individual races per day.
9.A scratched selection or cancelled race will count as no action (no bet); and that bet or portion thereof will be refunded. Alternates or Post Time Favorites will not be applied.
10. Players may "pre-post" their request to NULLIFY the race should any of their selected horses Scratch. Failure to post this intention will result in the race being scored with the remaining selections and the scratch portion being REFUNDED.
11. To place an "official play" and receive credit for the results the play must be posted at least one full minute prior to the "official off time" as stated at Equibase. It is the Player’s responsibility to ensure their PaceAdvantage time stamp is correct.
12.If the time stamp and the "official off time" are the same, or later, and your selection "loses", your selection will count as an official play as your intention was clear.
13. Wagering Format: Bankroll Builder
- All players begin with a $2,000 Bankroll
- Players may wager a maximum of 10% of their Bankroll per day (ie. Day 1 = $2,000 x 10% = $200). Subject wagering amount is established and fixed before the start of a day's wagering, and does not change thru out the day.
- The 10% (ie. $200 on Day1) is the total combined amount a player may wager on any single day
- Daily winnings and losses are added or subtracted from the Player’s Bankroll.
- The resulting balance becomes the base Bankroll for the Player’s next day of wagering.
14. All bets have a minimum factor of $1.00 and must total at least $2.00 to be valid. There is no minimum bet per race other than reaching the $2.00 threshold. However, you only have 30 races to leverage your bankroll.
15. If players are posting their daily plays prior to the previous day's results being posted it is their responsibility to ensure they don't play more than their current 10% bankroll.
16. If players inadvertently overbet their daily amount their score will be reduced regressively from last play to first by reducing the dollar amount bet, then individual bets, then the entire race until their bet fits within the guidelines.
17. Wager Types
- Players may make Win, Place and Exacta bets or any combination thereof, using a maximum of 3 distinct betting interests per race.
- Players may bet multiple horses to Win or Place in the same race as long as they don’t exceed the maximum of 3 distinct betting interests per race.
- An entry selection must be explicitly stated as such or the posted play will be scored as stated. (ie. Entry of #1 and #1A will be scored as such if posted as #1/#1A ~ if you post only part of the entry and that selection scratches, you will have no action (no bet) for that race. ***this is important***
- Further to entries, if you post only part of the entry (ie. 1A) and the other half of the entry actually wins or places, the player shall be awarded similar to what would take place at the race track. The purpose of the Entry Rule is to protect the player from late scratches.
- If a wager ends up being No Action, the player may post a new selection to take its place.
- It is recommended that when placing your bet, you state the number and name of the entry. The name of the entry will supersede the number in case of discrepancy.
18. Players must make a wager on 30 races during the contest period to be considered an official entry and qualify for Prizes and P.A.C.S. Points.
19. The contest officially ends with the running of the Lexington at Keeneland on April 21st.
20. To qualify for the $500 RDSS Bonus Cash Prize for registered RDSS users, players must be paid-up RDSS subscribers as of April 1, 2012.
21. The moderators or their designate will have the final say on any challenge or amendment to the rules. The contest is intended to be played in good faith and in the "spirit of the game"!
22. Only one entry per person is allowed.
23. Contest Stakes Events (10 of 15 races mandatory)
March 10th - Gulfstream Park - Swale
March 10th - Santa Anita -San Felipe
March 10th - Tampa Bay -Tampa Bay Derby

Just Checking but is the contest limited to 30 bets? what happens if you make more than that number? Use the first 30, the best 30 or other???
Answer: The Contest is a straight 30 races, 10 of which "must" be on the Stakes Races. The balance are "Player's Choice". Any races beyond the first 30 won't be scored. Failure to play the full 30 races will disqualify the player from qualifying for prizes.

Apparently, in any one race nothing greater than a two-horse box and another straight exacta or three distinct exactas will be allowed, exactawise. This goes to the three-bets-per-race rule.

Wrong. Three betting interests per race, not three bets per race. So, a three horse Exacta Box would be allowed. Three seperate Win bets would be allowed.
I do plan on posting an example of the allowable bets but I only have so many hours in the day.

Here are some wager examples.
You have a beginning bankroll of $2000 the first day. You have $200 to wager on up to 3 races today. You decide to wager $100 of that on the Santa Anita Derby (1 of the 15 mandatory Stakes races, you have to bet any 10 of those).
Your 3 betting interests are horses: #1, #3 and #5
Your bets are:
$40 Win #1
$15 Win #3 $25 Place #3 (a longshot)
$3 Exacta Box 1-3-5 ($18)
$2 Exacta 3-1
Total: $100
You have $100 left to wager that day. You decide to bet it all on a Maiden Claimer at Will Rogers Downs.
Your 3 betting interests are: #1 or 1A (entry), #5 and #10
Your bets are:
$50 Win #1
$10 Exacta Key 1 over 5 and 10 ($20)
$4 Exacta Box 1-5-10 ($24)
$6 Exacta 1-10
Total: $100
The race runs 1A - 10 - 7. All 4 of your above bets pay off.
Another day, your beginning bankroll is $2,475, and you have 10% or $248 (round up) to wager that day.
You bet it all on 1 race. Your horses are #1A (part of an entry), and #7 (you are only playing 2 horses in this race)
$100 Win #1A and #7 ($200) - you think the #1 is a dog: if the #1A scratches you don't want the #1
$24 Exacta Box 1A - 7 ($48)
Total: $248
The #1A scratches at 5 MTP! You catch it in time and substitute the #3 horse. You reissue all your wagers:
$50 Win/Place #3 ($100)
$100 Win #7 ($100)
$24 Exacta Box 3-7 ($48)
Total: $248
(the #1 wins and you lose all your bets. C'est la vie! )

Rule #8 reads:
8.Players may make a maximum of three bets per day.
In your first example, it seems you are making a total of 8 bets on the first day. Isn't that exceeding the above rule?

Rule #12
- Players may wager a maximum of 10% of their Bankroll per day (ie. Day 1 = $2,000 x 10% = $200)
The above line is, without a doubt, very clear. But is there a minimum amount that must be wagered?

$2.00 minimum just like at the track. As a strategic note, you only have 30 races in which to leverage your bankroll, so making small overall bets on any particular race could put you at a significant disadvantage.
