A keyboard with punctuation keys would be the first step.

As for your book, you might try "Exotic Betting" by Steven Crist.

"Exotic Overlays" by Bill Heller would be another choice.

A quick search in the Handicapping Library section of the board will give you plenty of recommendations. Beside's Exotic Betting, I like Mitchell's Commonsense Betting & Meadow's Money Secrets at the Racetrack.

How about a keyboard where you go to the "L" key, then go up to the "O" key, then back down to the "L" key?

If you want a good read and improve your general knowledge by all means there have been some good recommendations in this thread.

If you plan on betting them and are a beginning player with a small to moderate disposable bankroll, you should work on developing an understanding of how bankroll size and estimated hit% play a role in choosing a bet size.

Honestly I would start with the daily double. Become a DD SPECIALIST. Learn everything you can about the daily double. Learn how much a ticket will cost you. Learn to guess how much that double will pay(hint just look at the probables ), learn to guess what percentage probability that double has to hit. Learn if that cost fits in a mathematically sound approach to the size of your bankroll.
Then eventually move on to pick 3s.

You can play alphabet soup with different letters and it's fun, but ticket structure is opinion, estimated hit percentage, estimated payout, size of bankroll.

the phrase "pick 6 for beginners" is basically an oxymoron. Beginners can't really play a pick 6 in a mathematically sound fashion unless they also have a large bankroll. Of course there is nothing "wrong" with learning to play pick6s and pick4s with undercapitalized tickets with the notion of gamblin or whatever for entertainment, if you have the disposable income...

P.S. don't worry about the "english teachers" online. The concept trumps the grammer, just make an effort to be somewhat readable

most people use punctuation so that its easier to read what they have to say if they dont suse punctuation it makes it harder to read everything when that happens people have to spend extra time sorting out each individual sentence and figuring out where one ends and the next begins some people wont bother and will just skip what is being said when that happens both the author and reader may lose out the author because his/her ideas dont reach all of the intended audience the readers because they may miss out on some content that is useful to them see what i mean good there have been many suggestions for books you might want to try some of them most are good and will help you understand the nature of exotic betting oh and the books contain punctuation to make it easier to read them good luck

to be fair, his was only one line....it didn't really warrant your off-topic remark.

Sorry for the horrible grammar and punctuation.
