SCOTUS okays funding Planned Parenthood

Kansas and Louisiana passed laws in 2014 saying that they would not recognize Planned Parenthood as a Medicaid provider. The laws were appealed, and lower courts struck them down, saying that states violate federal law by depriving Planned Parenthood affiliates of Medicaid funding solely because they provide abortions.

The rulings were appealed to SCOTUS. Today, the high court voted 6-3 not to hear the appeals, letting those decisions stand as law. Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, and Samuel Alito voted in favor of taking up the challenge. John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh voted with the 4 moonbats, oops, I mean liberals, on the court, and the law now says that Planned Parenthood is a qualified Medicaid provider.

The circle game

Excellent!

The more abortions the fewer unwanted babies.
The fewer unwanted babies the fewer abused children.
The fewer abused children the fewer adolescent miscreants...leading to less inappropriate sexual behavior...fewer unwanted pregnancies...and fewer abortions.

I really don't have any issues with the SCOTUS findings. But it certainly doesn't mean we are forced to fund them outside of procedures that fall under medicaid guidelines.

Yes, and their Chief of Staff is Dr. Joseph Mengele.

Once again, KKK Kourt gets it wrong.
With the court in mind, we need to start discussion on end of life treminations.
Actually, with ONLY the court in mind.

So murdering a child in the womb is not abusive?

I do. Where in the Constitution does it say that the feds can tell a state what kind of welfare programs it has to fund?

Aborting a fetus is not murder.

But if you think so and it makes you uncomfortable then ...good!

True, under current law it is not. But the question is whether it is the proper role of government to fund it. Or for the feds to force states to fund it.

And the vast majority of cases, it is strictly elective surgery.

Funding abortions SAVES money otherwise spent on entitlements, remedial education, incarcerations, etc. It is the prudent thing to do.

Why is it that the same people who are in favor of preserving the lives of these unborn, unwanted fetuses...are also against the government programs which are meant to support these same lives after birth?

And why is a Justice citing a debunked right-wing conspiracy theory in his opinion?

https://www.vox.com/identities/2018/...homas-abortion

Quote:
Justice Clarence Thomas said as much in his dissenting opinion, in which he also cited the claim that Planned Parenthood was engaged in the “illegal sale of fetal organs” — an unsubstantiated claim made by an anti-abortion group whose members were later charged with a felony.

Does the anti-abortion group really care about the "child in the womb"...or do they just want to avoid having their tax dollars pay for the abortion procedure?
