In fact... the right to verbally crucify our political leaders whenever we feel it warranted is exactly what a "democracy" is all about...as far as I am concerned. But, as always...you are all welcomed to disagree with me on this...or anything else.

PA's rule pertained to the acceptance of ' public figure' name-calling...openly criticizing public figures was never an issue. However, this is one rule that I wish PA would change; to be added to/included with the 'member' name-calling rule. What purpose does it serve other than to intensify belligerence among members?
In the public domain, we may have a right to 'verbally' crucify our political leaders, but, IMO, unabashed acceptance of and/or leniency toward said 'right' way too often escalates to 'acts' of crucifixion, most especially among the ignorant and mentally ill of our society... and impressionable children.
I much prefer a more polite democracy...most especially in the private sector! Surely, we are all capable of polite discourse, here, are we not?

Well I look forward to your posts, so I keep in mind that a few other nice lady posters would frequent here in OT before we all went so hard core. I roll with the punches and figure we have gone from one extreme to another. A new edict is set and advance notice what will be and those who hang here fight it and others say no fair instead of also rolling with the punches then complain when actions are taken. It just means a couple days of adjustment for most of us.

I agree, and made that point exactly.
I'm resolved to follow this approach going forward despite any unfair past accusations against me.
We all have to have a few laughs every once in a while though.
Great post Margierose.

Today's news not so good for the president. The Dems will vote to Impeach in the house but I doubt it gets through the senate unless it proven that Trump himself colluded with Russia the I think Reps will have a hard time not impeaching him

None of this makes any difference, because Pence will pardon him. It will just be one big show. Unless of course Pence's wife has anything to say about it, because she absolutely despises Rump.

I don’t know how you make that conclusion. Cohen proved he was stupid. Trump wasn’t proven to have done anything.
