This town is going nuts over the O's, including me, well to a degree. Other than west coast games I'm there every night til the end.

I missed the entire first week of soccer. They start so early.

I watched Stoke City this AM vs. Man City playing at the Etihad. Stoke with a major upset 1-0.

Then NBC Sports switched to Newcastle vs Crystal Palace at NC aand CP tied it 3-3 in the 96th minute. There were 7 minutes of stoppage time.

Aren't Chelsea the faves this year ? I think Liverpool has little chance this year, very little.

BTW- the local cable outlet that does the O's and Nats, MASN 1 & MASN 2
(Mid Atlantic Sports Network) is now televising UEFA matches on Sat. and Sunday mornings. Are you getting anything like that there D ?

Yep, but I have to track it down because FOX has numerous regional channels and I never know where the games will be.
I think I get about 5-6 regional FOX channels

I have TWC and it offers 6, 7 or 8 additional channels from NBC generically labelled extra 1, extra 2, etc.

Most of the time slots for all of the extra channels do not have anything scheduled -- no program name, nada. However, if I select a specific channel then scroll down the listing I will find some BPL matches -- sometimes for the next day, other times many days in the future. And, they'll be missing the team names. And since I have my TiVo set up with some "wish lists" looking for keywords for specific teams, these programs never get automatically scheduled.

I suspect the reason for the TiVo never "catching" these matches is due to both NBC not ever knowing more than a few hours beforehand what match will be broadcast on what channel, and, the data missing which the TiVo needs to download and update the search database. So, I will browse for matches to manually schedule any I want to watch and which could be for matches I'd like to see. BTW, the NBCSN is barely better as far as my Tivo being able to automatically record BPL matches. OTOH, BEin Sports does a much better job of keeping things up to date which means me and my TiVo are much happier when it comes to La Liga, etc.

So, check you cable channel listing to see if you might have these extra channels which 95% of the time do not have anything being broadcast on them.

Di Maria played at Burnley for them on Saturday.
I don't think Vidal is official yet, though.

Today is a frantic transfer deadline day for all European clubs.

Looking at the schedule in my Fox soccer app, does not look like any matches until 9/13.

The qualifiers for the Euro 2016 tournament started this past weekend.
They have four 3-day periods of play between now and November,
then nothing until March.

It's the normal international soccer schedule setup.
Once Euro 2016 is over, it won't be long until they
start playing qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.

It’s crazy. I remember when we played there against Manchester in the Champions League, they kill me. My heart was so happy. I had fantastic moments and I appreciate this club. For me it’s one of the best clubs in the world and I have passion for this club. Some players I am still in contact with because when I was there I created a good relationship with everybody, not just the players, all the staff around. And it was like my second family there too so I’ll not forget that the people treat me well. I’ll not forget.

I love Manchester, to be back, I never know, you never know. Of course I’m happy at Real Madrid, it’s my home, it’s my club but Manchester treat me unbelievable so we never know.

What an ambassador he has been for the club!
Even if he never returns, he is a Red Devil at heart.

Chelsea still going strong with a 4-2 win over Swansea.

Arsenal came from 1-0 down to take a 2-1 lead vs ManCity but Demichelis equalized and it finished 2-2.
