Two issues are causing the ignorance, almost every issue has an extreme political divide, and most all of the news media is biased. Every year politicians seem to lie more and more, trying to reel in the vote of the uneducated. Instead of covering the news and presenting facts the media tells the side of the story that supports their narrative.
So called experts will lie for money or to promote their cause, morality seems to have gone down the drain.
